As of today I am 5 weeks pregnant!!!
I know I haven't been great at updating this blog, it just got really hard for a while there to think about the sadness that came with AF's arrival each month.
So last month I had a hinky cycle. I could have sworn I Ov'd 2 days after AF had finished but my temps flatlined then rose about 5 days later. Due to my confusion and DH's workload (finishing his diploma) we only BD'd a few times. I wrote it off as a lost cause, not enough BD, no idea when or if I'd Ov'd. I decided to focus on WW's and move those last kg's to get to my goal weight, and I was doing well! 2.9kgs in 2 weeks almost a total loss of 25kgs.
Then my boobs got sore up by my armpits, I thought I'd pulled muscles or something lifting at work. Then we were out to dinner after a busy day at work and I was SO tired I almost fell asleep at the table! The next morning I thought...hhhmmm why not? It will be negative then i don't have to think about it during our weekend away. But a faint 2nd line came up.
I thought I'd gone crazy and was seeing things! I didn't even tell DH I was so sure I'd gotten it wrong. So I posted a couple of pics for the girls on the forums and you know what? They could see that second line too!!!! It was real and I am pregnant! DH was told that night over dinner and thought I was kidding. I managed to convice him it was real and his response was "Finally!"
I had a long weekend away with family to get through before I could see the Dr. Luckily a friend of mine gave me a couple of her no-longer needed hCG tests (huge thanks Hun and congrats) so I could reassure myself I wasn't mad. Tuesday last week I saw the Dr, she confirmed my pregnancy, worked out the EDD is 4th of July and sent me for bloods (which all came back "normal" including a confirmation blood hCG of 450).
A week later I still don't feel any more pregnant than I did last tuesday. Yes I'm now getting the tiredness more and the sore boobs seem to come and go at random and I'm hungry every few hours but then it's early days yet.
The bump is now under construction!!!
