In the slums if Rio, corruption is a way of life

Tough-as-nails cop Nascimento runs the Elite Squad, a special task force police militia tasked with the most difficult and dangerous cases. In one of Brazil's toughest prisons, the Elite Squad is tasked with subduing a violent riot, but when the resulting stand-off costs Nascimento his job on the squad, he is forced to navigate a world of greed and covert corruption, where the man who was once his nemesis is now his only ally.

This wouldve been an awesome movie if it wasnt for the subtitles. I engaged in about a third of it, then i switched off because i couldnt keep up with reading the subtitles :)

Elite Squad - The Enemy Within: Wouldnt recommend if you dont like sub titles. With these movies I feel like im reading a book rather than watching the story. So to say with the sub titles to read I couldnt really get into it :(

Action movie lovers will love Elite Squad - The Enemy Within. The movie is made in Brazil and is subtitled, which adds to its authentic feel. It is intense and brutal, but a realistic portrayal of life on the street of Rio. The storyline is interesting with some well timed twists. It is refreshing to see an action movie without the flashiness of a Hollywood blockbuster. Not a movie to watch with the kids - the violence is R18 for sure!
