This Boy's Life

This movie was interesting to watch. Although it's quite an old one, I haven't seen it before. Robert DeNiro plays the role so well, he is very convincing. I'm not sure if I like him playing this type of role, but it shows his ability. Yound DeCaprio is really as well, perhaps better than these days. Interesting story, can happen to anyone anytime. I will pass this movie on so others enjoy the movie, I myself don't feel the need to watch it again. Thank you for the opportunity, very enjoyable.

Finally watched this movie today. We enjoyed it but i found it hard to watch at times as Robert DeNiro was so convincing as a disciplinarian towards Toby(young Leonardo De Caprio)we liked the interesting storyline and the way his mum wanted a better life for them both came across well.There were moments we loved and laughed at,but still makes me uneasy to think of parts of it. Overall well acted and i'm sure quite true to the event. 5/10 from us.Thanks for the chance to see this,

Last night my family and i watched this movie, This boy's life. We all really enjoyed it. It's about a boy who has a rather tough family life. It seemed to take a while to kick off. There were lots of funny parts in the movie where we all laughed heaps. The step father (Robert De Niro) was very dominating towards the boy (Leonardo Di Caprio) & his mother. The movie is an older movie as Leonardo was only a boy at the time the film was made. Over all i would give it a 6/10. Many thanks for the chance to review this movie.

I had a movie night with hubby last night and watched this movie.When this movie was released 19 years ago, we were both too young to watch this movie (10 years old) But remember hearing our parents saying it was quite controversial.So we were expecting quiet a full on movie. I think the story of Toby/Jack Wolff and his mother was interesting, maybe abit long-winded in parts. Robert De Niro definately played the horrible step father well! You really felt for Toby, his mother and the step- siblings having to live with a abusive man like that. It was nice to see at the end of the movie they gave you an update on what happened to people the story was based on. I think overall it was a 4/10. thanks again for the chance to review a movie for Oh Baby Movie club.
