Friendship has no borders. True love has no limits.

Bilal, 17, has travelled overland for months to reach his girlfriend in England. At Calais, he realises he cannot legally make it further. He turns to swimming instructor Simon, coping with his own divorce, to teach him to swim... the English Channel. WELCOME is a compassionate and inspiring drama about new beginnings and the power of love, centred on two couples contending with issues of separation and dislocation.

Get the tissues ladies! My husband and I found it a bit slow to start with, but then REALLY got into the characters. It is a film that draws you in slowly and then you are hooked. It is well written and very true to the "typical" way of thinking for men and women. Very realistic (for want of a better word) account of love and life. A great movie for a "Date Night"!

Such an inspiring but sad movie. I really liked it but cried lots. Some bits were funny, hubby predicted some parts of the movie because "that's how a man thinks". So funny bits too. Although I was expecting a happy ending, it was not to be. That's real life I guess. So so sad.....
