i have a phil and ted sport and think they are fabulous, easy 2 steer even with both kids in, only things i dont like about it are all the zips and clips you have to fiddle with to position the seat and the difficulty of accessing the basket whilst pram is in full recline

We have the dash and hate it!!! Grrrr! It has heaps of rubbish features - where do I start! The brakes need to be put on with two hands so if you have a toddler you have to let go! The 'storm' cover has large gaps where you fastened it to pram so your child gets wet! The Uv cover does not have a piece of material that comes down far enough to stop sun in their face! You need two hands to click buttons to put down pram so of you get fingers stuck when opening you wouldn't be able to release without assistance. It is awful to steer! The seat means the child is slumped! All the extras cost a packet! The P&T bum bag for pram slips off when brakes are on! Heaps of pieces have fallen off. And most of all the customer service is appalling. Avoid at all costs!!!

We have a phil and teds which we brought as our other pram didn't adapt for a toddler seat. We initially found it harder to move around but now that we have had it for almost 3 years we don't find it all that bad. However I have been very dissapointed with the quality of our pram. We have had it returned seven times for various problems, including zips and clips breaking. We are not rough on the pram either, in fact we take very good care of it! Many people I have talked to either have a good run or a bad run with the Phil and Teds brand. Unfortunately for us we feel pretty ripped off as far as quality goes. However the benefits are the pram is lighter than most prams, slimline, great with the double kit, and has many readily available accessories.

We have had our p+t sport pram since feb 07 and love it! still going strong and it is used almost daily since we have no car. not too wide, love how the toddler can sit on top when baby is a newborn and also at the back when bubs is older. perfect lay flat for the newborn baby and this pram is so easy to push and you can push it with one hand unlike some other prams defiantly the best purchase made!

We have the sport with doubles kit and cocoon - was good to lay flat when our daughter was a baby - and has been a solid double pram. the storage space underneath is ok for afew things but seems to fill very quickly. Also it is rather heavy and a bit fiddly to fold and unfold to go into town for a short trip - so I tend to not bother if I'm not going to be a couple of hours.
Was a hassle to try to teach family how to use it too.
Also tyres pop if over inflated.

Would be nice if it was a little lighter. Probably good to have a cheap little foldaway for the boot - and this one for longer walks.

Our daughter and her cousin love it.

We bought the sport 3 years ago when our first daughter was born. We also have the cocoon which fits nicely and is great with a newborn. I have used it for walking, running and we have even taken it all the way to South Africa and back - it has done us pretty well! We now have the double kit on as we have had a second daughter. I especially love that it is able to fit into most stores, unlike bigger double buggys. I do not like the brakes on it, I have always found them very 'sticky' and I have to get down and use my hand to release the brake. I like the newer versions better - they seem easier to push - mine seems 'heavy'.

Reading other reviews I must say I do not find the P&T Sport heavy or hard to manoeuvre. We originally bought the older version, then upgraded to the Sport when baby #2 was on the way. We love Phil & Teds and recommend the buggy frequently. I've had to referee squables over the back seat (what's with that!?), and other friend's kids often prefer to sit in the Sport then in their own strollers - obviously comfy. I had no problem at all lifting it in and out of the car, even when heavily pregnant. And I can often be seen wandering around with a coffee in one hand manoeuvring the buggy with the other. My only "room for improvement" suggestion is the brakes - they are too stiff and we end up using our hands to unlock them.

We bought the Sports V2 second hand, only 2 yo. We have not been very impressed with it overall. It looks nice and the double is good. We were able to use it with our toddler and pre-schooler while I was pregnant and now with our baby and toddler. I don't like how heavy it is to pack it up and your fingers can get caught as it closes. I also find it quite hard to manoeuvre with two hands let alone with one if you are trying to hold the hand of a third child... I agree with previous comments about the brakes being very hard to put on. I have woken my baby once or twice fighting the brake!
I have also been rather unhappy with the service at P&T when I bought a new front wheel ($100) from them online.
Overall, I wouldn't buy it again if I could go back and start again.

I have one and have loved it all the way! We have two under two and that was our plan, so we researched and bought this stroller with the doubles kit and it's perfect, I loved how the newborn lay down and my toddler was up above in the doubles seat. I think the brake is stiff too, but I'm used to it and don't mind - if it were too easy I'd be a little worried about it to be honest! Haven't had any problems with weight distribution - as per the instructions, we have our little one in the back and toddler in the front and it steers fine and feels stable as - I wouldn't do it the other way around as it would feel like it might tip, but my big kid loves to be up front anyway, so o complaints here. It's big, and a little heavy, but it's totally worth it in my opinion, instead of one of those awful wide double things that doesn't fit through tight gaps.
Highly recommended for more than one child, & fine for one with all it's positions etc. I would never purchase a different one after 2 years with mine.

I have had this for a few years now and when family borrow it they always complain about how hard to move around it is. It's otherwise fine just heavy and hard to maneuver I have seen other double buggies that are easier to use and would chose over this again...not that I'll be buying another one. TIP: Keep the tyres pumped up.

I definitetly needed to buy the saddle bags as when my daughter was a newborn I couldn't use the parcel tray. It is heavy, but then the flip side of that is that it feels secure! I think that the sun canopy doesn't quite go forward enough to shade the baby when in fully upright position. The stiff brake is a well known problem! The accessories for P&T products though are all really well thought out, and complement the pram!

i have this buggy -and we do love it. It is really easy to use, the wheel can be locked straight or swivel, and i like how the P&T capsule can clip on the top (with an attachment). I would probably buy it again if i had to replace mine. But - it is quite heavy to lift in and out of the car; its quite hard to get the hang of collapsing it the first couple of times (you quickly get it tho and then its quick), the brake is not very easy to use, and our rain cover has broken 2 of the domes off the front - where it attaches - so be careful removing the covers.

I've got this buggy and i find it great, ive got it in the double and both my boys happily sit in it while we go for walks, very easy to use and i love the number of colors it comes in, ive got it in blue camo.
Note for JVCC you can buy extra bits for the sport like a strap on pouch with cup holders that goes over the handle bars...
I hate the brake too, not so user friendly

the P&T sport has its good and bad points.
    i LOVE the adjustable handle
the full lie back of the seat
the different options for use, any buggy that converts in so many ways is well worth the $$$.
    the big parcel tray
how well the covers attatch to it.

    i DONT like:
the brakes. they are a mission to use, especially when bubs is sleeping or newborn.
the gap at the back when the seat is fully reclined
its washability-i still cant figure out if i can pull it apart to wash it all.
quite a few limitations on usage, ie 2kids of similar weight would upset the balance of the buggy.
the back seat doesnt recline very far for sleeping toddlers.
NO CUP HOLDERS! lol only realised this with our daughter last week ;)

all in all, i love the P&T way more than our mountain buggy, so much lighter and folds so much smaller. i can change from 1 to 2 child seating in seconds. and the adjustable handle really seals the deal for us :)

I have this and I love it! However, I hate the brake, it's 'stiff' and often involves me giving it a kick to take it off! The front swivel wheel doesn't lock. It's hard to get items in and out of the parcel tray with a NB in the lie flat, or even the sleep position. Love how flat it folds though, love how it's not 'heavy', love the harness, she looks safe in the pram! Love the little 'peep hole', love how the handle is adjustable!...

    Things we liked

    • The toddler seat, which can be fixed to the front or back.

    • You can easily fit through stores and aisles — side-by-side double strollers are too wide for this.

    • Handled well on all terrains.

    • Highly adaptable and has great longevity. You can use it for newborns, babies, and toddlers; accessories can convert it into a “Lazy Ted” bouncinette; you can attach a capsule.

    • Easy to fold down; fits in the boot easily.

    Things we noticed

    • Weight distribution with two children affected manoeuvrability and made steering very directional. We put the older/heavier child in the bottom so the front tyre could swivel easily.

    • With two children in the buggy, be careful when taking them out. With the heavier weight at the bottom, the laws of gravity kick in and it can tip.

    • You have to buy a tyre pump, rain cover and sun shade.

    Accessories

Toddler seat, “Lazy Ted” bouncinette adaptor, travel bag, saddle bags, hangbag and belt, cocoon, rain covers, sun shades.

    Bottom line

    A very practical three-wheeled stroller.
