Quote Jar

Quote Jar

Love this idea!

I don't know if you're at all like me - but I always have these grandious ideas about keeping journals for each of my children with all their special moments and memories and photos of them for them to keep when they grow up and for me to remember it all.  Alas, I have bought the journals and have written about two pages in each, and that's it.  I either forget or just don't seem to find the time.

The family quote/moments jar helps you capture those special moments and those cute quotes that you want to remember instantly.  Simply jot it down, note the date (and if you have more than one child - write the child's name) and pop it in the jar!

The beauty of the family quote/memories jar is you can capture those moments and quotes quickly and pop them in the jar so when you have time you can put them into your journal.

It's handy to have some paper around and a pen to be able to jot them down - but if you're out and about jot it down on an unwanted receipt or napkin and pop it in the jar when you get home.

At the end of the year - you can pull them out of the jar and have some special family time reading the quotes and moments and sharing laughs together. Kids love it too and it makes them feel very special.

Wow, like KapiolaniLeha, I too was just thinking about this today! My nearly 4 year old daughter was concerned as to why her baby brother had "crumbs" in his hair. She was referring to the loose cradle cap on his head, lol. Now I know where to put her many cute, innocent, hilarious quotes. Thanks!

Wow, that is an amazing idea! I never get around to writing in the journals I buy either.

Will definitely be trying this idea as don't manage to get the quotes in my boys' baby books as often as I'd like. Thanks for the idea :)

Since my daughter turned 2 I have had a "quotes" page that I have been adding to on the computer, when she comes out with some outrageously funny (or naughty) line. But to put them all in a jar - I love this so much!!
