Hey everyone!
Not as much to catch up on as usual, everyone must of had busy weekends and not alot of time to post
I hope lunch at circus circus went well, Im gutted i couldnt be there but we ended up spending all of saturday with my gran so thats why.
Dagster thats a great pic you and DK look so pretty and summery, very cool! I saw the rest of the pics on facebook, looked like a great day.
Just got back from my MW everything well, not sure how babys lying will find out on friday at my US. Good strong heartbeat though, and Taanya said shes feeling nice a big so thats good! Talked bout birth today so she knows what i want to have happen...i guess its a brith plan lol but its not very full...just says Natural Birth, pool & gas, no pethidine, no epi, no vit K, and 2 nights stay at hospital. I dont think ill saty 2 nights though, i think ill prob just want to go home but ill see how i go. Ive got an appointment with an aneasthetist in a coupla weeks to discuss epi (if in the unlikely event that something goes wrong and i must have one) as i have high BMI so its not as straight forward for me...gosh nothing seems straight forward with this pregnancy lol.
Also asked about 5-W, EPO, and RLT and she said that shes had alot of women drink RLT and they have had great births (not sure whether it had anything to do with the RLT) but basically what she was getting at was it cant hurt it can only help if anything! And she recommended not doing EPO or 5-W until 37 weeks and not to drink RLT till after 36 weeks...but thats just her opinion as she doesnt want me having bubs early
Spent all day at bastion point yesterday was so awesome to hang out with all my m8s i even played a little bit of hackey sack can you believe! I was so impressed with myself that i could still manage to kick past my tummy LOL I got insanely sunburnt though i look like tomato today..which is not so cool but ah well.
Aimstar really sorry to hear about your neice thats terrible. Poor little thing!
Roksana that sucks about your laptop, hopefully they can fix it!
Beckyb sorry to hear your off to the dentist i hate the dentist with a passion lol but sadly i too need to go im pretty sure ive got 2 holes, and i dont just think its pregnancy playing tricks on me...boo hoo i hate fillings! So wishing you all the best that you dont have to have anything done!
Motherof6 i have one of those J&J packs my mums friend gave it to me its so cute...i sit there smelling the little baby powder...i LOVE it haha.
Anyways thats enough out of me, hope everyone is well!

Hi everyone,
Aimstar im sos orry about your niece and your friend - thats awful news!!!
Roksana i hope your insurance covers the laptop repair
Dagster i love the dress you are wearing in the photo - where did you get it?
BeckyB good luck at the dentist!!
Kiwigirrl i love the prezzie bingo idea for a game - how many rows did you have and what prezzies were on the cards?
Supazo good luck for your scan on friday!!! Oh and what is 5-W?
I have an Obs appointment tomorrow at 10:30 so will have a quick scan.
I have only bought organic products for babys skin as I read their skin absorbs chemicals sooooo much more than adults. I dont think its worth putting products that have chemicals, perfumes and alcohol on their skin so have bought a NZ made range called made4baby - got a pack of 4 things - oil, moisturiser and head to toe wash that are lightly fragranced with citrus and almond oil (and smells divine!!!) and a non-fragranced nappy cream and it was $45 for the set and theyre no small bottles. They also have a mini travel set of nappy cream and body wash for $7.50 so got that too and when they run out will just fill them up from the larger bottles.
Also bought the huggies wipes that are alcohol and perfume free - apparently there is a blue range that is for sensitive skin but havent seen it yet!
I had my dentist appointment a couple of months ago and luckily didnt need anything done. I was also given a mini dental floss and mini toothpaste for the hospital bag and a toothbrush - cool!!! I try to go every 6 months but realistically its more like every 9 moths but i still think thats fine. used to never go until i needed several fillings but after the last lot of fillings I think i learnt my lesson lol

Aimee so sorry about your niece, it's so hard on everyone when a child is sick. & also sori to hear about your friend...
Dagster you gotta nice bump going on there...
Glad to hear all the Baby Showers all went well & im sure all the up coming showers will be great as well..
Motherof6 your getting bigger, I hope your not to uncomfy, but not long to go now aye?
Zoe i've heard alot of good things about 5W so im definately gonna take some of those along with the EPO.
At this point I havent brought any creams or lotions for my son just yet. I've never had prob's with the J&J brands so Im more than likely to get those again...

Hi girls,
Aimee- so sorry to hear about your sad news :( It is so terrible when things like that happen and all you can do is support and be there. I hope your week gets better and your little niece improves.
Have the OB today so going to ask about the 5W as well as the EPO thing, to see what they think.....I also have a horrible feeling Little Miss is transverse as I have been getting kicks over by my hips on both sides!
Bought up the Ecostore products (sleepytime bath wash and soak) as I loved the smell and they are all natural.
Had a good sleep last night, for the 1st time in ages, and even only had to make a pit stop once! Feel so much better when you have a good rest.
Cooking roast chicken for DH tonight, with all the trimmings (roast veges, yorkshire puddings) as we are slowly coming to the realisation that it wont just be the two of us for much longer!
Have a great day ladies!

Hi Everyone
Thanks for all the good vibes guys, Good news about my niece she has improved alot and they will let her go home today for monitoring as an outpatient. They still are not sure what it is but Kawasaki Disease is still main concern and then poss Scarlett Fever, She sees a cardiologist today and they just have to take each day as it comes as she can go down hill fast, my SIL said its just nice to have the cheeky 4 year old back! Unfortunately SIL and BIL are both really sick now so lucky MIL is there to look after them, especially with a 1 year old as well!
DH went to be with his friend last night whos girlfriend committed suicide, so was a late night for him & I did not get to sleep till he was home. I am sleeping really well though, so I am hoping that lasts.
Finally got appointment to see specialist diabetic MW at AKL Hosp today, going to get the stuff so I can test my own blood etc. She said I will see OB, Physician and dietitan next week and start the 2 weekly scans. She said Insulin injections look likely, due to such high GTT results, but I am coming to terms with it now, and plus think I will get to stay at Birth Care Parnell for free for 3 nights which I cant complain about. Its funny since I have been eating well and excercising alot I feel great and people have been telling me how good I look, instead how crap I look! Always look on the bright side of life huh?!!?

Good morning everyone!
Beckyb, that sucks about the indigestion. I had it in the weekend and it wasn't nice. I hope it gets better for you soon.
Aimstar, I'm glad your niece is well enough to be an outpatient and I hope your SIL & BIL get better soon. It's good you're feeling better and that you've got an appointment with the specialist.
I hope everyone else is having a good day. I don't really have anything to report. I have AN class tonight and work all day today. Pretty boring really

Morning
KB I hope your OB appointment goes well, In regards to the 5W The more info you can get on it the better coz Im interested in them also. The health store here said you can start taking them as early as 5 weeks before EDD but then Some MW's are saying not to start them until at least 37 weeks so will be interesting to see what your OB says about them...
BeckyB sorry you had such a bad night, we are all so close to having our littlies you'd at least think our bodies would let us enjoy these last few weeks aye. LOL..Never mind coz there is definately a pot of gold at the end of our rainbows...
Aimee thats great news about your niece, although everyone will still be walking on eggshells for a while until she's really in the clear...
Bless your DH for going to spend some time with your friend thats just lost his partner, thats very tragic....
Glad you got your 1st appointments today for your GD also aimee I bet your feeling alot better now about the whole thing....
Well not much planned today. Gonna go out chrissy shopping again today. Im on the hunt for a rocking horse for DD1 and DD2 has taken a liking to DD8's rollerblades, I know I should wait till closer to xmas when all the bargins start happening but theres no way I will want to be out shopping with hundreds of people in the same store waiting in line forever radaradarada... I cant even do the shopping now without having a break every few steps.

In regards to the 5-W just something you should all know...they have recently found that their is a higher risk of bleeding after having the baby if you take 5-W capsules.
Ive been doing lots of research and have spoken to my naturopath. She said they are great because they tone and prepare the body really well for the stress of labour however the excess bleeding is something to be considered especially if your already at risk of bleeding or if it runs in your family etc...so be careful with that.
Also she says you can take them during the last 5 weeks, but if you want to be on the safe side wait until 37 weeks and you still get the benefits.
This is just something i found on google but my naturopath said all the info is correct
"The combined action of the herbs in this formula are directed to supporting women during the last stages of pregnancy. This herbal blend supplies nutrients supportive to the female glandular and reproductive systems. The formula contains iron for the blood and for vitality, manganese to support body tissues, and selenium to assist in healthy tissue growth.
CONTENTS:

Black Cohosh root
Squaw Vine herb
Dong Quai root
Butcher's Broom
Red Raspberry leaf
PRECAUTION: Use caution in cases of constipation and hypertension. This product should be used preferably under medical supervision."

DebsB
I don't know, maybe there just thinking about other thing's and not keeping their minds on the job at hand.
Mine slipped going up a ramp on a trailer and came down face first into a wheelbarrow full off broken up concrete (he was landscaping a property).. He's gonna see how he feels after the x-ray and might go back to work as most of his job's are done when people aren't home sooo no one to scare lmao

Morning everyone,
Sorry havent been on lately with DH using my laptop all the time I dont get to use it lol. Been majorly busy with sorting the house out, we have 3 weeks to get it sorted before the baby shower and my sister coming home.
Thanks for the nice comments about the dress, both those dresses are from Just Jeans. They seem to be in fashion at the moment, I want to buy more for summer they are so comfy.
Aimee - Glad to hear your niece has improved.
Supazo - What are 5-W tablets and where do you get them from. I supose I will have to start thinking about these things that may help.
30 WEEKS TODAY!!!

hope you all enjoy the rest of your mornings!
ive decided i'm finishing work early today need a nap before AN class! and tomorrow afternoon is the dreaded dentist eek!

I think its a combination of things!
One - Your bones are spreading down there...getting ready for baby to come down that way...so that on its own is uncomfy!
Two - iF baby's head is down then you have the heaviest part of baby bouncing on your bladder and bone....hmmmm,,,
three - every one is diff...I know my monkey has dropped a little...but not enough to say that I will go on labour soon...if you know what I mean?
ETA - OH and yah the baby is getting heavier....

I was just reading the OHBaby week by week guide and it says that the stuff we are experiencing happens in week 34.....
Even the problems with Teeth apparently due to the fact that baby is sucking all the calcium from your body to grow bones!!
I have just reordered Elevit as I am feeling light headed alot now (also happens in week 34). Have a feeling I am lacking some thing!!
