I am really keen to get any feedback from anyone who has seen Michael Sangalli or Anju Basu in Wellington.

I see Fali Langdana for my specialist appointments at the hospital. He also practises privately at Wakefield Hospital.

He is absolutely fantastic, even my midwife recommended him.

I'm not sure about the other two you mention, as I have never had to deal with them.

I had my first specialist appointment with Dr Sangalli at Wellington Womans a few weeks ago as we were referred to the hospital after our 20 week scan.
He was very straight forward in his approach but made us feel very comfortable about our results.

Hi Ruby,

I saw Michael Sangali when I had an ECV with my first child. He was very professional and very calming during the procedure. Didn't see him for any other appointments though.

Hi Ruby
I'm under Dr Sangali through our own choice as we did IVF. One of the docs at Wellington Fertility Associates had fantastic things to say about him as has several other people in the medical profession that I have meet. We have had good friends who have had him and one of the girls I work with has him as well. As Millie said he is professional and tells it straight. I certainly have found him great and he is also very good with my parther.
We are both very happy with him.

Hope this helps.

DONT GO THROUGHT BASU!!! i cant emphasise that enough. she did my exploritiry lap and i got really sick after. the drain was in the wrong place so i woke up from surgery screaming in recovery and got an infection a few days later from something else that went wrong during the surgery. she lost my surgery notes and told me post surgery i had endometriosis and then in her report a few days later it claimed she found nothing at all. i was so sick i couldnt move properly for weeks. i have had 2 friends walk out of appts with her cos she was too flighty and just didnt seem to know what she was doing. i would personally avoid her at all costs, i have heard so many complaints about her and nothing positive at all.

Hi

All of the above Dr s Sangali, Fali and Anju Basu are superb Obstetricians.

We are very blessed in Wellington to have some of the best OB/G specialists in New Zealand.

I would go with any of these.

Good luck

Wow Minikah - that doesn't sound good!! - her receptionist was really grumpy when I booked in too - which i know doesn't reflect on how good she is - but didn't make me feel comfortable either.

Margs and everyone else thanks for the info on Dr Sangalli - I think my choice is made. i will let you know once i have seen him.
