Hi again
I haven't been on here for a while - herewegoagain - I can relate to you. After 1 mc I guess I'm a bit worried until I know the blood tests and scan all come back OK. I'm booked in for the scan next Monday, then have an appointment with my specialist just before Christmas so I hope its good news.
Still have morning sickness - although its more like all day sickness so I hope its all for a good reason!
Weather here in Wellington has been crazy - so hot on Monday night so I couldn't sleep and today its been pouring with rain, misty and southerlies - like Winter time.
Bye for now - good to see everyone's good 1st trimester bloods/scan results! Well done

Nice work for all those with good scans today!!
Hi to those who haven't been in for a bit - I fully understand how you feel. Big hugs for a good outcome this time though!
I finally feel like this is really going to happen today. Midwife was wonderful, so great to hear baby's heartbeat banging away and she measured my fundal height which is 16cm (at 14weeks should be 14cm give or take a couple, so good to be on the plus size!) *large held breathe exhaled*
Yay, we're having a baby!!!
Hope all those feeling unwell or with sick kiddies are feeling better

hayley, sorry you had such an awful wedding anniversary. Memorable but for the wrong reason. I hope you can get some answers about your DS, surely it can't be "just a virus" that's lasting this long. Have you got a different GP you can as for a 2nd opinion? And regarding the scan results, no news is good news. If it's a high risk result they phone and tell you. That's what my MW did.
Herewegoagain, glad to hear your scan went well and bub is fine.
capelbach, boo for DD getting sick now too. You are not having a good time at the moment. Hope they all recover in time for Xmas, or rather, so you can move without having sick kiddies!
BnT, glad to hear your scan was good too, and that bub looks fine.
Ajay, sorry the MW appt got postponed. I always hope that it doesn't happen, though I know it's for a perfectly valid reason of another mum being in labour, but you kind of get your hopes up about the MW appts, and hearing the heartbeat, etc. So always a bit of disappointment when it's postponed.
KiwiAtHeart, sorry to hear you've had the tummy bug too!
Lucylou, that is good service by your MW. Hope the pills help.
Kelz, yay for a good scan!
I had a phone call from the maternal fetal medicine clinic today. She basically said "so what test do you want me to book you in for". No mention of seeing the specialist beforehand to discuss things, just straight in with testing options. So I said we don't want to do any further testing. So that's pretty much that. They apparently don't need to see me unless I'm wanting to do testing. Which I guess is good, as there's not much else they can do yet. The anatomy scan will be presumably checked over for downs indicators, which won't be till mid Jan.

Hi all I'm starting to feel better. I'm an expert when it comes to UTIs. I get recurrent UTIs. So far this pregnancy this is number 2. But I was silly and tried to bit it with plain old ural(sodium bicarbonate).
Yay for all the good scans.
I'm definately starting to feel bub move, I keep getting little wee flutters. I measured my self with toilet paper still 9 square but I feel so massive and so bloated. I think this baby is hiding in my back because occasionally I'll wake up in the night and the is a huge mass around my belly button area that I know is the baby coming to the surface lol.
I watched this weeks episode of one born every minute, I think I'd want to hit my DH if he was giving me little pep talks frustrating!
I've got my anatomy scan booked for the 9th Jan, it's my second wedding anniversary so FX everything is okay with the scan.

I forgot uti=antibiotics=thrush. Grrrh woke but last night with a burning who-who.
I think I'm starting to get the super in love feeling you get with your DH when your UTD. I just want to kiss him and touch him all the time and that's all I can do too hehe. I've even been dreaming about just kissing him lol. I guess that's because the whole of the 1st trimester every time he tried to kiss me I wouldn't coz I felt so sick.
Righto off to work now. Have a lovely day ladies
It's great to feel so happy again yay!!

Boo to thrush, I got it quite bad in my first two pg, it's a right pain. (Was going to say in the arse, but it's a bit further round than there lol).
I'm procrastinating at the moment, we've sold our house, and I'm supposed to be packing. We don't have to be out until the 21st, but as we're off to the UK for 5 weeks on the 14th (one week away yay!) then we have to be out for then. Haven't got a new house sorted yet either, as the one we put an offer in on fell through, we're going to stay at my SIL's old house, which they've been renting out as they're building a new one. We don't seem to do things the easy way......

Hi everyone I haven't been on in a while
12 weeks today yay did the toilet paper thing and in 11 squares I think thats what I was last time.
I just skim read the last few pages and saw Atiamuri is a physio?? My back is killing me already and I posted on Facebook and my friend who is a nurse said go to the doctor and get a referral to see a physio. What exactly would they do?? I am taking DD to the doctors in about 10mins but its not my normal doctor so am a bit nervous to ask her about it.
I will be back later to read a few pages back and catch up properly

Went to Christchurch yesterday and the weather was terrible, was like the middle of winter. It's such a beautiful city. Seeing the CBD was very much an eye opener.
How exciting that you are starting to feel bubs move dneyn.
2 days till my scan, so excited but nervous all at the same time.
I've definately got a little bump going on, look like I ate all the pies Have had some funny looks at work where people are noticeably looking at your tummy but not saying anything.

Haha Daynak, I know just what you mean about looking like you ate all the pies, so annoying. Tho, to be honest I have been eating more than my fair share of pies lately!

Haha ditto Lucy except maybe my problem is cheeseburgers? It's the only thing that settled my tummy for a few weeks.

Mmm. All this food talk is making me hungry and I've just finished tea! I've been going through a cheeseburger stage too but have recently discovered a kebab shop in town that cooks the meat on a grill (not the turny things) so I feel like it is safer to eat. I've been there every day for lunch for a week - I think the guy thinks I'm a bit weird!!!
Cute about the show LuRo. My 2 year old performed in the Tuwharetoa Festival a few months ago doing kapa haka. It was actually one of the first times I realised I was pregnant because I was crying before I got in the door and watching the other kids, let alone watching him!
Scan on Friday. Can't wait. Am feeling very uncertain about it. Tried to bring it forward last week but there were no appointments so have to wait (not so) patiently.

Bexee, i have been craving kebabs but the places here are the traditional kebab meat so i dont think i should have it! So im really jealous of yours! Good luck with your scan!
Good luck for your scan too daynak, how exciting. I know what you mean about people looking at your tummy. Someone actually commented on mine the other day, we were taking ds to see santa and someone said i should sit on santas knee too so we can get the new baby in the photo! I was a bit taken aback, i didnt know it was that obvious! Last time i didnt show until 19 weeks ish, and i got rid of most of my baby weight before getting pg again. Makes me worried how big im gonna get this time!
Hi to everyone who hasnt been on in ages, and good luck with any up comming scans.
Good luck with your packing capelbach!

dneyn, boo on the thrush! I always get thrush or fungal skin infections after being on anti-biotics too. Are you taking a pro-biotic at all? Probably best to wait till you're finished the course of anti-b's, and then dose up big time on a good quality pro-biotic to replenish the good bacteria in your body.
capelbach, 5 weeks in the UK! Wow, that'll be a long holiday. Guess you need to, because of the distance. We haven't ventured back to the UK since we moved to NZ 4 years ago. Did say we'd try for every 2 years, but then had DD and went to one income, and haven't had the chance since. Not that any of DH's family have come to visit us either! (he's the Brit, I'm the kiwi.)
LuRo, glad your daughters concert went well. I find myself tearing up over things too. I'm not an emotional person, so preggy hormones catch me off guard a lot! Even reading a story to my DD about something sweet/cute/sad etc, will have me almost tearing up.
KiwiAtHeart, laughing (at the irony of it) at your mother's comment about you gaining weight before she found out you were pregnant. How did you react to that?
Love pies!! The bakery near our place does great pies.
My DD has her first day at kindy on Friday we're using a daycare instead of a kindy, but it's the first time she's been away from me, other than DH looking after her for a few hours. Not sure how we'll go, but hopefully she'll like it, and be ok without me.
