I always take my temp super early. I tend to wake about 4-5am then doze until 6am. So if I take it at 6 after a disrupted few hours my temps are all over the show. So I take it when I first wake up and then chuck my therm back on my bedside table and read the temp when I get up cos mine stores the last recorded temp.
I dont find much of a change in my temps if I take it at 4am or if I take it at 5am. Mine don't fluctuate too much until I actually wake and doze.

Hi girls :)
I tend wake up automatically at 625am every morning without fail and take my temp so I'm not sure it the timing matters.
Thanks for all your kind words everyone, it's nice to be able to talk about it with others that understand.
Someone asked me if I plan on trying this month and the answer is yes in the past I have been super fertile after a MC so Hoping to take full advantage of that!
I'm going to start OPK testing tomorrow because I imagine my cycle will b a bit skew whiff so I better start asap.

Great attitude Laurz :)
I've heard the same about being super fertile after MC too :)

On that note, when using OPK's, when is the best time of day?
My pack said ideally between 11am - 2pm - this would mean I have to do it at work...
Any tips for this ladies?

I always do my OPK tests when I get home from work. Went to see my local specialist today (not FA) and she's prescribed my clomid and I'm going to give it a go. Little bit nervous about twins but fingers crossed... Anyone else taking it?

Hi all
Bummer about af ajb. Hopefully better luck this month!!
Angel mummmy no help with opks as have never used them. Same with clomid bonnie, not something I've ever needed thankfully! Someone else is bound to know though.
Thats interesting about fertility post mc laurz, i wouldnt have expected that but go you if thats the case! Anything that increases the odds is great!
I take my temp whenever i wake in the night. My dp works odd hours so can get up anywhere between 4 and 5.30 so its often then as i normally only doze after he goes. If i wake anytime in middle of the night i will do it then esp weekends as no guarantee when I'll wake up. Like ajb i just do temp and pop it back on the bedside table and check it later when i get up. I seem to get reliable temps regardless as long as I've just woken from a deep sleep.
Looks like i might be the next to test (or get af). Expecting af anytime between thurs and sunday as this cycle has been a bit different so might test sun morning if temp is still up. No major symptoms that arent all in my head i think. Boobs a bit tingly over last few days and have been a bit crampy on and off for prob last 5 or 6 days which is not normal for me. Still really too early for much in the way of symptoms so dare say I'm imagining it!

I don't like to take OPKs at work (stall toilets) so I just take them when I get home at just after 5. I have heard any time after 11am and before 8 though. Good luck with testing mizpix :)

AJB, I'm so sorry. Hugs! I love your attitude though! Xx

Mizpix, I'm so excited for you to be due soon!! I'm gonna test on Friday, but il be only 9dpo so I'm not expecting anything!!! It's just I'll be away at a camp all week so it's an attempt to help me not obsess tooooo much, cos I'm already itching to test!! Haha.

Sorry I've never used OPKs so don't know. Temping I haven't done with kids, only when I was TTC my first, so I dunno how well it'd work with broken sleep!! I hear it's not too bad, a bit up and down but still with a jump at O.

AFM, I'm 6dpo now and yes, getting antsy! I wanna test, but I KNOW it'll be a big fat waste so I'm holding out. I know it'll likely be a BFN on Friday even, but I'm accepting that loss of a test ahead of time so it'll be ok. I'll then test again on Monday when I'm home and I'll be 12dpo.

So last cycle (July/August) I got a positive OPK on cd 14 and 15 (didn't test on cd 13) and my temp went up on cd 15. Now my doc (using my blood tests) had told me I didn't ovulate. What the hell? How can I help improve my chances when everything I'm testing is wrong??

Ok bonnie. From my knowledge of repro cycles which is mainly the animal type but humans are fairly similar... your chart looks pretty good for ov when you said. After ov you get a cl form which makes progesterone which is why your temp goes up. After 12-14 days if no implantation then cl regresses and progesterone starts to drop hence starting your period. At this time new follicle starts to develop and slowly estrogen increases which causes fertile cm etc just prior to ov. If you got blood tested after your period began there would be little to show for the cl that was or wasn't there a week or so ago as its already regressed. The main hormone at this time would be estrogen. Not sure how your doc can say you didn't ov at this stage of your cycle. Your fluctuating temps may indicate a poorly functioning cl (i.e. not making adequate progesterone) which can certainly affect whether an embryo survives or not. It is also possible that you didnt ov but doesnt look like it to me. I would think that you should get progesterone done a few days after ov to prove if you have ovd or not. The clomid will help you to ov but not sure it will help much if you are oving but have low progesterone. Thats my 2c worth and could be way off track cause while i know a bit about physiology the whole area of human repro is a pretty specialist topic and its not like I've ever had to look into it on my own behalf. To get a further opinion if would try posting in the ttc over a year thread. A lot of girls there have been thru all this stuff themselves and will be happy to look at your chart if you attach it to your post. Dont know if this helps or not

Hi ladies,
I need some help/advice please!

I only started temping last week and this morning had a very slight rise. The chart on my app says I am in
my fertile window NOW (af only left 2 days ago) I'm assuming the chart is predicting this because of the slight rise in
temp - I have attached the pic.

My other 2 apps say fertile window doesn't start until next Sunday.

Should we start bd now, just to be on the safe side?

I feel a bit naive! Normally I would wait at least 5 days or so after af to start bd.... Confused

Hi angel mummy. I am not familiar with this ap,looks quite complicated. That small rise wouldn't indicate fertility i would think as temps can move around by + or- .1 of a degree just on daily variation. The cm and cervix position shouldnt have set it off either so not sure. Having said that its possible that i ovd on cd9 or 10 this month so yes you could be oving this early but in the absence of fertile cm etc prob not likely. You could always bd just to get some practice in tonight anyway!!

Glad to hear you are doing ok Laurz, I really hope that being super fertile after MC works for you this month and you get your sticky bub.

AngelMummy I find that temps can be a bit confusing sometimes as so many other factors can effect it. So better to use it in combination of other symptoms as well. Does seem pretty early to OV, but I would BD just in case anyway. The month we conceived we BD'd every 3rd day after AF, then every day from +ive OPK to increase in temp. Confirm the temp rise with CM and cervix height etc. I know its so hard to actually pinpoint sometimes - good luck!

Hi again all you lovely ladies :)
Been a crazy couple of weeks for me so I haven't been on much but so happy to see a few more BFP's popping up

Nothing much going on with me. TTC has been on the back burner a bit this month, work has been super busy and I've just been too tired. Not sure when I O'd either as I've been super slack with everything!
Pretty sure it would have been last week sometime, in which case we probably missed it as we didn't BD much - still, it only takes one!

Fingers crossed for everyone currently in the 2WW, waiting is a killer!

Hi all
Not much to report here other than lots of heavy crampy feelings and achy boobs. Probably signs that af is coming but temp is still up so not totally out yet. Was expecting to see af this am but nothing yet. If i ovd early she was due yesterday or today. If i ovd when ff said she will be due sunday. Will be interested in what my temp does tomorrow morning as that will be a good indicator.
Hi lillypilly heres hoping for you!
Angel mummy glad your temps settled down. I'm sure you'll have plenty of signs when it is ov time!
Hows everyone else doing?

mizpix it was our 1st month ttc, now on month 2 cd6. Your mind does play tricks on you, and start noticing new 'symptoms'. I reckon they were always there but now we are attempting to be way more in tune with our bodies and we begin to notice things more.
Welcome ellekait, all the best for staying sane this tww!
