Was a bit nervous about my gonal f injection but it is actually easier than the buresline! Roll on next week and my first scan to see if it is working - I take it my bloods next week will also tell them how things are tracking Hugs

Well done Icecream. Yep Gonal is the easiest of the lot. I had to use buresline as my trigger well non trigger to stop my ovaries continuing to go mental. Didn't love having to draw it up myself etc.
Just had a very small sad moment. Finally on email via laptop and sick of getting the daily newsletters that came with the What to Expect app I signed up to when utd. So I figured out how to unsubscribe....made me a bit sad to see what I'm missing out on. I'm not going to be all woe is me on here but sometimes I get really sad all of a sudden. Anyway just had to share that. Stupid as it was/is.
Hope everyone else is going well. Nik sounds like those ovaries are plumping up just nicely.

Thanks Soda. I'm pretty good really but sometimes I really wanna just shout about how unfair it all is or something like that. I need to stop thinking about the 'if' aspect of the situation (eg if things had gone well....... Etc) because even though it's normal and ok to have those feelings they aren't helping me a whole lot.
Anywho just had a good ole catch up with my mum who sounded really good so that's great. This whole things been hard on her so soon after losing her mum. Think she took it worse than me in some respects. Oh and in other good news looks like my cm is back to normal. Nice to have something normal happening lol.

Awww BC - I have been really good last week or so but still have moments of 'what if' as well. You're right it's not helpful but I do think its natural as well. I think with time those thoughts will get less and less.
As for the 2WW threading I steer well clear too. Even though I don't have problems getting pregnant I find all the 'good luck for next 8 month' comments a bit difficult. Because I haven't got the faith that they do that it's that easy!! But I don't wanna ruin their innocence so I stay away. Maybe once I am TTC a few cycles again I might get back there now and then but for now I avoid, avoid, avoid!
Good to hear the injections are going well ice cream, hope you develop some follies and get a good number of embies out of this!
Storm - sorry to hear ov hasn't arrived. Frustrating to have to wait so long!
AFM - looks like this cycle will be a no go for me. No sign of ov (all my hopeful signs have disappeared), negative opks and DH goes away for 5 days on Sunday which is probably when I will ov..... Oh well. Might be a good thing to have this first cycle off.

Hi ladies, Just another pop-in hello from me Hope you're all well. BC you have every right in the world to have sad moments whenever you want them. I hope you are feeling ok. Soda I will be doing unmonitored clomid over here - my doc isnt a fan of them, but seeing as I have little to no response on clomid she isnt worried as its unlikely to do anything, let alone produce multiples! I also steer clear of the 2WW thread miss bling after my first go in there - it is crushing. NZ Veg in response to your last post to me, I am being a lady of leisure here I can work if I want as I have a UK passport as well as an NZ one, but I can't practice law here without re-studying (no thank you) and I can't really do anything anyway without speaking italian! So I will be working on learning the language and building my photography etc. AFM, well I started spotting on the day my AF would be due if I had a 28 day cycle, but then nothing eventuated from it. I personally think it is because I shed after my HSG with that bleeding I had, and so come due day I didn't have much left for AF - but I emailed Mary and she said given my ovulatory disorder there is no way of knowing without bloods and a scan, which obviously we can't do from here. So instead I just have to induce using provera (she only gave me one dose! grr!) and then try our hand at clomid after that. While it is still a 'break' given what I went through in NZ, it is all still getting a bit complicated. Feel like burning my pills and getting drunk instead

Shimma - yay for being a lady of leisure. Will be a change from life in NZ.i dunno how I would cope, but it would surely be interesting for a while. Yay for focusing on photography, sounds like fun. Sorry your break from ttc isn't turning out to be as simple as you had hoped.

Thanks for the unmonitored clomid info ladies! I was on a low dose of 50mg for 6 cycles last year, and didn't really have major response to it so hopefully it won't be a problem for me either. Will call them today. Soda exciting there is one week to go! I have everything crossed for you that there is a little bean in there! Icecream whoo hoo for first gonal shots. I found it was alot less scary as I thought it was going to be aswell. BC - big hugs to you hun! I agree with Shimma - you have every right to have as many sad moments as you need, and I don't think anyone is going to mind when you need to be "debbie downer" on here... we totally understand the feelings. And But yaye for normal CM!! Shimma nice to "see" you - sorry it's not going to plan - hate when that happens! The getting drunk part sound nice LOL My OPK's have been the same level of darkness for 4 days in a row now!! Is it normal to have high LH before AF arrives? Not that I think it is, but I can't imagine that it's OV!

Don't want to get your hopes up storm, but the OPK also measure HGC, so if you were pregnant you'd get positive opk's every day...
On the note of irregular cycles, ovulation should occur 2 ish weeks before AF (though you can get AF without having ovd). Ov itself can occur on any day however, based on what your hormones are doing. I've ov'd on CD70 before today ;)

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to pop in and say hello :-) I've just gotten back from a month long trip to see my Dad in the States. I was hoping to make an American baby but that obviously wasn't to be. I'm still waiting for the specialist to get us on the IVF waiting list for PGD but no word back from him since last month. Maybe I'll ring next week...
I hope you are all coping well with your unique journeys. I can't comment much about the procedures, etc. But I surely can comment about how fricken hard it is to see friends being pregnant, going past due dates of lost angels, and celebrating the birth of new babies. I feel sometimes like a bit of a zombie - trying my best to avoid any and all conversation about pregnancy. Not so easily done though at this stage in life. Anyway... big hugs to you ladies!

Oh A.Girl sorry you didn't get an American baby! Make sure you put a bomb under the people putting you on the list!
Ice cream hope injections are going well.
BC I totally get the having negative days. It just gets so draining huh! He what ifs are just horrendous. What is the next step for you? I find it easier to have a next step!
Storm sorry you're having trouble pinpointing ov. The drugs can play a bit havoc with your cycles, so I'm sure the next one will be easier!
I met a girl last night at a wedding who just mentioned randomly after an hours conversation that her daughter is an IVF baby and then when we talked it transpired that she had to do three rounds to get her daughter and is now pregnant again, naturally! You hear all these stories but it was nice to meet someone who it actually happened to! Gave me hope as we're saving for our third round now!

Morning ladies. Hi Agirl sorry for no bfp this month. Sucky suck. Icecream how you doing? Epic it's great to hear stories like that. Keeps some light at the end of the tunnel. The negative moments keep floating around here and there - I think I probably need a good cry then I'll be ok but it's like I can't cry or something and I'm a bit scared once I start I won't stop. Especially hard when the latest friend utd had her scan and is exactly the same amount of weeks as I would've been like its uncanny even. Anyway as far as next steps I will have bloods this Thursday to get hsg before my appt with FA on aug 7th to discuss what happened then what's next. We'll pay for one cycle then make our decisions from the outcome of that. Right now I'm trying to figure out what's happening with my body in terms of some sort of cycle so I can get back on track. But of tmi - while utd and now I've suffered dryness in the ahem party arena which we've just been putting up with but I think I'll get some preseed to help us along even though we don't need it for ttc lol.
And to finish my novel I will share some good things ...... A) the sun is shining which always cheers my heart esp on a netball day b) I have a wonderful man. C) I have wonder ohbaby girls who I'd be lost without!! 😘😘😘 have a great day girls!!

Morning ladies! Sunny day in Auckland and I hope it lasts for all of us - helps the emotions I reckon BC sorry you are feeling up and down lately. Maybe a good cry would help. Big talk to someone and a cry seems to do the trick for me. I hope your cycles get back on track for you! Exciting you have a plan in place for another round and not long till FA appointment. I always walk away from them with a better outlook on it all A.girl welcome back!!! FX you hear from FA soon! Epic I hope it's just the drugs I def don't think I've OV'd and my body is just mucking around! Thats so nice you got to get a real life story of IVF struggle with a lovely outcome! Mushroom oh don't worry, I did think that about my OPK's LOL but I'm pretty sure I haven't OV'd so it can't be picking up HCG. Last nights test was much lighter anyway, pretty sure my body possibly tried to OV twice but it didn't happen. Hoping it doesn't hold of AF then! How are you doing Mushroom? Hope everyone else is doing well. Hugs to all and hope you all have a lovely weekend full of smiles

Evening all, how is everyone? Thought it was about time I popped back in after being AWOL for a while - thanks ladies for answering my million questions back in April/May!! Glad to say AF finally arrived last weekend after waiting 3 and a half months, and I started my injections on Wednesday night! I just wanted to see if anyone else had similar cycle timing as me at the moment (I'm doing short protocol) and it looks like there might be, I'll have a read back through the posts now to catch up on where everyone is up to and what's been happening. Happy Saturday night

Hi trinab - I am on the long protocol but started my gonal f on Thursday. When is your next blood test and your first scan? Question for others who have been through this. Us ladies had a plan to stick to but nothing to advise us on bd and DH input! I have to admit poor DH was a bit neglected as the pill had me spotting all month and I was not interested, bd yesterday which was fine but now I am worried about bd and follies getting big so it being uncomfortable? Will just have to see how it goes

Hi Icecream, it's an exciting (and nerve wracking) time right?! I have my bloods first thing on Monday morning on my way to work then they'll call me in the afternoon to let me know whether to add in a shot of Orgalutran to my nightly 150iu of Puregon. I've got my first scan on Tuesday afternoon which I am excited/nervous about. What are your timings with long protocol - i.e. When are your bloods and scans and do you have a rough idea of when collection would be? How are you feeling on the Gonal F (other than the cookie incident!!)? I'm feeling pretty good other than the bloating and needing afternoon naps which everyone thinks is hilarious as I am the biggest anti-napper around.
