Mushroom, when do you start ivf??? And soda. .. I really hope these next few months zoom by before ivf. Actually, here's hoping that you don't even need it! I was told 6-9 months and got a call at 4, so it may even be sooner :-)

Thanks a.girl Hug
So freaky story for ya ...
While we were talking in the lounge tonight there was a massive crash in the garage.
DH and I told the kids to stay put while we whipped through for a look.
Both of the cots and their mattresses (which have been stored up on brackets high on the wall in the garage ever since we moved into this house - two years) had crashed down onto the bow of the boat.
Hmmm, I wonder if the universe is trying to tell us something?
Let's hope it is that we will be needing them soon Wink

Freaky! Good thing no one was hurt! It MUST be a sign from the heavens ;-) I was looking at some coke bottles in the supermarket tonight and they crashed down. What does that say for me?!?!? Haha.

Update, hubby has just discovered cots broke his boat windscreen. Major sh*t storm that is all my fault. Phark, now he has started on with I'm the only person who has stock piled their baby things, and why do we need to store all these things, we don't have room, blah blah blah. So gutted as he has made this all about that instead of the bolts failing!

Oh dear! Men often say things they don't mean when they get upset. Hopefully his disappointment in the broken windscreen will die down and he'll see how hurtful his words can be.

A.girl - I don't start IVF until June, though hoping that date might come forward slightly (have been on the list since Feb). Mostly just looking forward to it being *this* year as opposed to *next* year. Am planning on phoning up early next year to see if there has been any movement on the waiting list with people cancelling...

HT - sorry :(

Soda - we might end up IVF buddies! Our journeys are so similar to each other - we've just been a bit ahead.

HT hope that is a good sign Smile

Soda that sounds a lot like my ov pain last week.  Turns out it was most likely because I had a full bladder.  It was the day of scan and we had to travel 2 hours for appt and I was holding on to a full bladder too long and had terrible pain.  Scan showed I was about to ovulate.  I was told to BD for the next five days.  So keep going for a few more yet.  You never know Smile

Also I had the same niggling pain for a couple of days after.  Most likely that was the egg making its way down.  I am super sensitive to everything since the opp.  Have been given meds for that now.  The slightest thing like rolling over in bed aggravates everything.

Hi everyone,

I would love to join you all if you don't mind, would love the extra support and to chat to others in the same boat.

A little about me, I am 29, we are currently living in Mt Maunganui, however moving to Auckland (St Heliers) in Jan,
We are very blessed and have one son (conceived naturally) who is four years old. We have been ttc #2 for over 3 years now, during this time we have completed 11 rounds of Clompihene, (some monitored, some unmonitored) and I have had a hysteroscopy and laproscopy (which was all clear). I do have PCOS, and have been on metformin for this for approx. 5 months with some success.
We are beginning our first round of IVF (public funded through Fert Plus) in July 2015, I am planning on focusing the first half of the year on getting as fit and healthy as possible, and would love some motivation!!

look forward to chatting to you all! :-)

Welcome Mama.H! We also have a 4 yr old, and are up for IVF mid next year :) I'm currently going to the gym (new convert) at my local leisure center to help get fit too :)

At home activities - skipping (really gets your heart pumping), going for walks evenings/mornings, etc :) And drinking lots of water! I went to see an endocrinologist who said that women with pcos should do 1hr of exercise each day as part of their pcos treatment 'medicine'.

welcome Mama H! I too have a 4 year old (well 4 in early January) little girl (clomid baby)  and TTC with PCOS - 7 more rounds of Clomid got our angel ( lost at 11 weeks) and now just had our initial fert plus appointment, starting leprazole in the new year and coming up for IVF after mid-year...hmmm i see a wee coffee group happening when we have our babies (which WILL Happen!)  lol Big smile but you are in good company with a few of us in nearly exactly the same situation.. hopefully we all have good news soon! ive been slack on the exercise if im honest, but from tomorrow hubby and I will both be going for walks (me) and runs (him lol) each night while the other is home with DD. so that will hopefully help. finally oving now (day 44 woohoo) so who knows, a Christmas miracle would be amazing!

Hi Mama H
I have PCOS too. I have a 4 year 8 months old and a 3 year old 8 months and currently under FA to try to complete the family.
I haven't exercised for a variety of reasons lately and the weight just piles back on. Time for more dates with my bike. urgh! I had an op sept 2014 where they did eight procedures to try and recondition the parts for more babies.

Hi Mama H. Another. PCOS-er here! TTC #1 and looking forward to doing my first transfer (frozen) in Feb/March after 4 rounds of IVF! Getting the weight off (and keeping it off) is a major battle. I found that metformin, portion control and low carbs seemed to really help for me (more so than exercise though I do try and do some).

Wow thanks everyone for the warm welcome! amazing how many of us have PCOS! out of interest what dose of Met are you all currently on? my specialist originally prescribed me 2000mg (4 500mg tabs a day), however I found anything over 2 a day made me pretty crook, initially I lost about 5kg just from the 2 a day, however I have noticed the weight creeping back on so am thinking it may be time to bump it up to three tabs a day?

Those of you in Auckland what area are you in and which fert clinic are you under?

Looking forward to the journey with you all, fingers crossed for good news for us all soon :-)

I'm prescribed 1500mg Metformin which I tolerate really well. I generally tend towards constipation more than anything (TMI). I believe Met is meant to be have the opposite effect so every now and then I chuck in an extra 500mg as a bonus! :)

Welcome Mama. You've found a great bunch of girls here.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the love - I've been lurking away over the weekend (so much for that break huh!). Anyway just had results from follow up bloods this morning. As expected have dropped right back to neg now. Was doing ok but now not so much. I've booked a review appt in Feb so look at what's next. In my heart of hearts I want to give ivf one more shot (3rd time lucky?) but will need to save up some coin so it's looking like a good 8+ mths off ttc. If it doesn't work next time then I have accept kids aren't in my plan. So for now I'm going to learn to live like a normal person (the person I was before 2014 wrecked me!) and find the good points about not having children for now. It's all a very scary prospect I must admit.
I will still be lurking no doubt but will be trying to wean myself off the world of ttc. I wish you all the very best and hope your baby dreams come true soon! Have a lovely Xmas and festive season xxx

BC: Have a lovely holidays and good luck for the next few months. I haven't been here long but you always have lots of advice and positive words for everyone here.

If you want to go with another cycle, trust your gut/heart.

Hi Mama.H! Bring on 2015 I say.

I'm on Day 4 of my first AF in over 4 years. Not feeling too bad, it's just annoying more than anything.

I was looking at the things we will be doing next year, and think that we might start IVF in June/July. That means I will hopefully be able to race a marathon before we start and we have a trip to Hawaii then too and I was thinking, would I want to travel while doing injections or if we started and I got a BFP I wouldn't want to be away from FA in the first trimester. So when we have our next appointment at FAW next month I am hoping to get a clear idea of when we will start making the baby!

I am still working and it's so dead. But Baby Daddy sent me a big bunch of red roses to say Merry Christmas. Such a lovely surprise and they have given me the biggest smile.

Oh BC, I have been checking in to see how you have gone. So gutted for you honey. I really wish you didn't have to go through all of this heartbreak! Getting the money together is a huge decision and one that is definitely bitter sweet. I wish you all the best with what you decide to do in the next few months. I will keep you in my heart and really hope to see you back victorious and buzzing soon. In the midst of your grief, remember to focus on the love you have for your man. Let him be your rock and rediscover each other without the pressure of all the fertility related stuff pushing and pulling you.
Keeping your dreams and wishes in my heart :-)
All the best

BC I sooo hope you get your dream in 2015! this year has been so tough for so many of us, it HAS to be a better year next year!
Have a great holidays and i hope there is super good news on here for you within the year!!
Ive just been bumped up to 3 x 500 met a day by fert plus and seem to be tolerating it fine. though im having a totaly WTF day- 3 days ago i had all that ov pain (like really bad!) and ewcm and pos OPK... been BDing up a storm whenever possible. but my ovaries, although not as bad as the other day, are still tender, im bloaty, ive gained 2kg (gah!) and today i did another OPK just to see and its still positive! even did an HPT just in case and negative...so i have no freakin idea what is going on with my body! double-ovulation? cysts? just a crazy stupid body?? so confused... hoping its an insane double-ov  and i have twins on the way lol but thats about the most rediculous Tui billboard slogan ive heard of! lol. thinking of going to the doc and maybe suggesting a scan to see what the heck is happening? or something???? but being Christmas and working the next 2 days i cant see myself getting an appointment any time soon. tomorrows temp will be interesting. SOO CONFUSED!!
