Hey Rosey, I was on buserelin and gonal f last cycle and I had about 10 follicles with 6 eggs retrieved. I'm always a slow starter and pick up as the days go by. So it could very well improve!

Sorry Rosey I can't be much help I've only been on just the gonal f before
Well typical! My AF is late so no surgery for me Thursday, I'm going to call them today see if they can pencil me in for next Tuesday as they only do surgeries on Tuesday and Thursday so hopefully they have space for me! Normally this is when I'd be thinking ooo I'm pregnant but think I've been thru this too many times to be that naive!

Hi Rosey, I was in the same situation as you with our second IVF with only four follicles. I was really gutted as we got 9 eggs and three embryos with our first IVF. But it went to show that it can be quality over a quantity because we ended up getting five eggs, transferred one embryo at day three and then the other four made it for freezing on day 5. Hopefully it's just early and you will get more follies but if not try to stay positive as you could still get a good result with four.

Hi Rosey, how did your scan go yesterday? I have had this before where my follicles have taken a while to grow, but that was on puregon not gonal f. Hope it went well for you! Faith any luck with changing your surgery? How is everyone else doing? It's so super quiet in here lately, I hope everyone is getting on ok. Sweetpea and Lulu hope you and your bubbas are growing along nicely. I'm just ticking along on my progynova nothing exciting lol have transfer of two embryos in two weeks time

Hi storm yes it's been changed to next Thursday now, I don't think the nurse should of had me down for this Thursday in the first place, they're saying no way to early. AF arrived so Day 1 was yesterday so surgery will be on day 10 which thru said is the perfect time. So glad that's sorted and I don't have to wait another cycle
Good to hear your ticking away nicely :)

Hi all things hav been progressing with my scans. Today's showed 6 goodies on my right with biggest at 24mm and 3 smaller on left - weird as Mondays showed the left ovary doing better but now it's flipped. EC on Friday. Best result for me is for each follicle to hav a healthy strong egg as this is our last chance, we can't afford any more rounds of treatment. :)

Good to hear things have progressed Rosey, its weird how it has switched but hopefully you get a good number of Friday from both sides.
I am still lurking, hoping for some more good news.
Storm thanks for thinking of me, i am afraid i am in the depths of terrible morning sickness and feeling super sorry for myself. I know i shouldn't be complaining because this is what i wanted but i am barely managing to function. HOpefully it will get better soon otherwise i am off to see a doc to see if they will give me something for the nausea.

Roses, good to hear things are looking better. The exact same thing happened to me when I was using buserelin too. Good luck for tomorrow!
Hi lulu. Sorry to hear about the ms. Hopefully it eases up soon.
Sooo... I got a bfp today at 10dpo! Cautiously excited. My last preg ended about 2 days after the bfp, so I'm just taking it one day at a time. Plus, were 0/5 in the pregnancy department. It's quite hard to expect anything good. Sigh. Funny that we had 3 rounds of ivf, 3fets, 3 rounds of clomid, and not a single bfp. All 6 bfps so far have been natural. Interesting eh?

Woohoo! Cautious congratulations a.girl :) That's nuts re your stats. But considering I personally know two women who got free babies after their IVF babies I'd believe anything.

Wow a.girl amazing news! i hope this is it for you... although understand your cautious optimism.
Thanks for the kind words Rosey, i had a slightly better day today (i didn't spew onto the inside of my car window anyway, which was a bonus). I half expected to have the police turn up to breath test me yesterday morning while i vomited into the gutter but did a whole day today with no mishaps.

Big hugs rosey. Hopefully all 3 keep going strong! I found this part of ivf caused most anxiety. I actually had to change my ringtone after all was said and done because it's sound triggered such anxiety. Did they do icsi?

Hi a.girl Doc said I'm not a candidate for icsi as it seems to b an egg quality issue with me. Just found out that I only had 4 viable eggs in the end as one was empty and the other immature so I really hope the 3 make it to tomorrow. Has anyone ever had 2 put back in on public funding before?

Agirl congrats!
Rosey hope all 3 make it for you! As far as I'm aware under public funding they won't ever put 2 back all to do with the ministry of health guidelines

Oh gosh Rosey, hoping for you! My Dr says we can do 2 on public funding this coming round because he thinks it's an egg quality issue too. I think the rules are pretty steadfast one only but they do make exceptions.

A.girl that's great news. And very interesting they are all natural.
Rosey sorry to hear that things haven't gone as well as you hoped. I know from my reading you needed to be over 35 before 2 could be put back but I think each case is different. Thanks for thinking of me Storm. We have been away on holiday which has been great. Go see my midwife tomorrow and start that part. All is well at my end. 10wks 3days now
