Hey everyone - sorry I have been MIA for a while. Trying to have some time out and not think about this whole TTC business.

Charly and Bubs - so happy for you both! Congrats! Hope things are progressing along nicely

A.girl - so so sorry to read your news. Hope you are doing ok and good luck for your appointment. Not long to go

Hope you other ladies are doing well

AFM - BFN today at 12dpo. This journey really does suck at times! In the last week one of my close friends (who knows all about my mc, and has had one of her own) announced she was having a baby girl. I knew that she was utd but she was quite upset coz she thought she was having a boy! Fark!!! Why is it that people are so insensitive when they know how hard it is? I don't think I'll be seeing/talking to her for a while. I just feel so let down and hurt.

Sorry for my little vent. Hope you ladies have something nice planned for the second long weekend

Nzveggie I blimmin well hope so!!! Bring on January babies!

Jellybee I'm sorry you've had to endure another bfn! They are no fun or fair! And sometimes someone so close can be so cruel without realising. They really should take in your consideration due to the fact she knew about your mc and that you are TTC too. Very hard! Hugs xxx

This is so hard! At a time that I feel I should be over the moon I just can't get excited about being pregnant at all :-( I'm just counting down the days to my 7 week scan so we can see if there really is anything growing. My last pregnancy was a blighted ovum so everything appeared normal until my mc and at 6 weeks and I passed an empty sac :-( I keep getting occasional mild cramping and I'm thinking is that my body starting to reject another blighted ovum or is a little bean just getting comfy?? I really hope my body isn't playing tricks on me again this time.

Good to see you back Jellybee, but I'm sorry about your BFN. It's so hard when other people seem to take for granted what we are pining for! My sil nearly went into a bout of depression because she needed a c-section and couldn't have a natural birth. I wanted to slap her and say 'look at your healthy and happy little boy and just be happy!' It's infuriating, but you just gotta roll with the punches.

Little Dragon, these few weeks are the hardest for sure! I would say that having a blighted ovum twice in a row would be a pretty rare thing, so hopefully it was just a one off last time :-) Let us know how your 7 week scan goes. Oh, and the cramping is a good thing if it's mild. I knew my bub had died when it STOPPED. Your uterus is stretching and growing and you are just feeling that. xx

Thanks a.girl I'll try and hold onto those positives and will definitely let you know how the scan goes. I just don't remember the cramps with my first pregnancy the first time I remember them was when I was starting to mc, I guess I'm just more aware of every little ache and pain this time.

Little Dragon - sorry I didn't see that you got your BFP! I would agree that having two blighted ovums would be rare. Just think of that little bean getting all comfy in there! When is your scan?

Bubs - don't give up hope yet hun. There are so many variables with hpts that it is better to go with bloods. When do you get your next bloods checked?

Thanks jellybee. Monday. Was supposed to have them today but can't because of anzac day. I got much stronger hpt results (and higher initial bloods) from my last miscarriage pregnancy. Oh well, i suppose if my hcgs remain low at least i won't be dragged along with an unviable pregnancy for quite as long as last time.

Thanks little dragon. Hope the 20 days go faster than u think!
Ive taken my ticker down as I really dont think this is going to work out. My symptoms seem to be fading. Do gps do any testing after two miscarriages ina row, and three in total?

20 more days isn't that far away little dragon! May the time pass by quickly for you.

Bubs, I'm sorry to hear that this is all stressing you out so much. I really hope it works out for you though. Do you have a child already? My doc started the testing after two in a row thankfully. Big hugs to you bubs. Xx

Thanks a.girl. Yes i have one child, born in 2008. Had a miscarriage before and one (2 if this doesn't work) since. Do gps test both partners? I haven't had any children with my husband so i guess his side of things is unknown

Sorry to hear Jellybee, this journey is definitely a difficult one :(
Littledragon, congrats I hope you're doing ok, hang in there - the countdown is on!

Bubs, sounds so stressful...is there anything you can do that will help take your mind of it - even if just for an hour or so? I really hope Mondays bloods show a positive increase in HCG! What have you got on for the weekend? Any plans?

Bub, my doc started with the easiest blood tests for me. And once they didn't show anything, we opted to pay for dh to do the tunel test ($400!) We also opted to do the karyotype blood test but I think that one was funded cause I never got a bill for it :-) I think if you are willing to pay you can get heaps checked out but funding for some of the expensive tests may not be done til after 3. We are also paying privately for the specialist. But I hope you don't need any of this information because this pregnancy sticks!

My line has just about gone :'(. At least this is sorting itself out without the need for weeks of hcgs.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that bubs. I wish this was you didn't have to go through this again, but I'm glad you are seeing some positives in it happening so early.
