Thanks everyone. Not feeling too many symptoms yet, but as there is a rise, I should just assume it's all going to plan so far. Another blood test next week, then scan maybe the week after (at 7 weeks). I still wont be jumping though until 12 weeks. Will be so nervous for that scan. Nothing like seeing a bubba lying on it's back not moving and no FHB :( So keeping my fingers crossed this one hangs on!

Babycrazy - you are most definitely welcome here. Every lady who's posted in here feels those same emotions when TTC after a MC. They might be all very different, but still the same result. I wish you all the best for the next IVF round and this time your baby/babies stick around. It's a hard road that's for sure. Don't think anyone has found it 'easy'. x

Nice rise Talz that's fantastic! Try not to worry about no symptoms yet I don't think I had any until around 7ish weeks and even then it was on and off and some days I thought something was wrong as I felt fine. It will all come I'm sure ;) Those first months drag by but like Charly said at this point in time you are very much pregnant with a little bubba growing strong inside.
Hope all you other ladies are trucking along and your wee rays of sunshine are around the corner...I too am here cheering for each one of you from the sidelines.
Lots of love xx

Hi luckymama, my first cycle post D & C was 49 days, my second was 56 and then I got a surprising BFP. I was getting quite concerned but it seemed to work out okay! I know how horrible it feels though, I was so worried, esp as I had been very regular prior to the D & C.

Luckymama - I'm currently on week 10 no AF post ectopic surgery. When I rung my Health Centre to see if I should go in to the Dr yet, the nurse said she wasn't certain for my particular situation but they usually say up to 12 weeks is normal after a miscarriage.

Made my PCOS referral appointment for just under 3 weeks time. Which will be just after the 12 week mark so if AF is still no show I figure I'll take advantage and take it up with the specialist!

Has anyone taken Vitex (Chaste Tree) to help bring on AF after a mc? I'm getting impatient as my cycle's always been so predictable.

It's doing it! My body finally remembered how to woman! If you'd have told me 10 years ago that one day I'd be this excited about AF arriving I would have laughed in your face

Wonder if I can convince DP that we're fine to TTC after this instead of waiting another cycle...

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Happy Spring!

Yay Mitsi! Fingers crossed for you this cycle! Funny how you can fret and worry about something supposedly not happening but all the while your body is just quietly (if sometimes frustratingly slowly) going about its business all on it's own...

Mama I was taking Vitex to help AF, not bring it on sorry, but I found it good!

Yay for AF Mitsi! Did the Dr say you have to wait 2 cycles, or just recommend it?

Hi guys, been having a break away this weekend, was quite nice and passed the time nicely in the TWW :) am cramping a bit (10dpo) today so think its not my cycle (not surprised) so all good. not stressing. determined to not let this get to me now. enough woe is me, time to just carry on. (ask me again in a few days though lol)
DH did his SA.. not the big deal hed made it out to be. havent got the results yet so that will be interesting. other than that just chugging along. Talz thats a good rise, i hear ya on seeing a not-so-positive scan and that feeling as you realise babys not moving. horrible. but everything crossed there are lots of happy tears at your scan this timeHeart  woohoo for AF Mitsi? hope you get your BFP soon xxx cool to hear A-girls levels are rising too!
sorry havent read back much further, will try to catch up later, just wanted to send hugs and say hi though xxx

Post-surgery support has been completely non-existent. The hospital were pretty vague when I was discharged, just said to wait awhile and give my body time to heal. DP, however, has read The.Entire.Internet on the subject and recommendations across the board are two cycles. He then offered that information up to the Dr (GP) who agreed it was a good idea. DP is pretty stubborn with medical stuff and really has this two cycles thing stuck in his head though. I guess it's sweet 'cause he's looking out for me and just wants to make sure I'm ok. So over waiting though! I'll ask when I see the specialist for my PCOS referral. Presumably they're doing a scan for that so it would only make sense to check how my space-formerly-occupied-by-a-tube is healing too right?!!

2 cycles isn't too long in the scheme of things and it doesn't hurt to let your body heal before getting it to grow a baby :) From what i've read the standard response for post-stillbirth is 3months to let your body recover.
Yeah i had a scan for Endo so i'd imagine they would do the same for PCOS?

As for me - i called the Fetal Maternal clinic yesterday to see if they had a date for my followup appt (with postmortem results etc) and they said oh sorry (sigh another stuff up) we have you booked in for next Tues, we thought you knew!!   So that will be be good, its the last medical related 'thing' we have to deal with. Unfortunately the meeting is where we got all the bad news and where he died, so that won't be fun!

Oh wow Sara - that will be a tough appointment. But hopefully it's the closure you need to start moving on (although don't think I mean forgetting!!!).
Mitsi - Sara's right 2 cycles seems like an age but I guess with an ectopic it's probably more physically important than with a standard miscarriage so I wouldprobably go with it. I must say I've been told to wait 6 months each time and clearly haven't but that's more from an emotional perspective. I don't see how waiting 6 months each time would have helped me emotionally when what I really want is a baby......

I'm sooo fustrated right now by not ovulating. I am CD 23 and only today have I got a tiny bit of EWCM so maybe it's coming. My opk's have all been negative so I can't have missed it. Really hoping for a positive today!!!!

eek Sara that will be a tough day xxx but will be good to get the closure you need and move forward.. hugs!
CD1 tomorrow for me. so another unsuccessful cycle. my friend had her baby this morning..so yet another happy for her sad for me day. but all good Smile Hubbys SA results are at the GPs but they wont release them to us, they want hubby to go in to "discuss" the results.. so thats a bit of a worry but trying to stay positive. we have DD and got our angel with those swimmers so they cant all be that bad! will be interesting anyway :)
GL for ov Veggie! hope its soon, i know all about loooong cycles so feel your pain- so frustrating!

Mitsi I was advised to wait 3 months after my ectopic

I've never had such long cycles in my life! Still waiting to ov, so annoying.

Called my pregnant friend last night to see how she's going and got the talk again about how if I just 'relax' then it will happen....grrrr. I think that's the comment that gets me the most!

Sarzy and NZveggie - as for stupid comments...as a woman in a same sex relationship being told to 'just relax' has been an often offered but completely useless piece of advice!! And as for the other most commonly proffered jewel of wisdom...if I had a dollar for every person that has said "have you thought about adoption?" I could probably afford one of those elusive expensive international ones by now! Well meaning idiots abound. Grrrrrrr.
