Midwife Central Auckland

I'm just about 7 weeks pregnant and I'm due in early January. We live in Mt Wellington and I'm looking for a midwife in the central Auckland region. I assumed finding a midwife would be easy but I'm not having an joy. A lot midwives are on leave in January. Can anyone recommend a good midwife in this region? This is my first pregnancy and unsure who to contact.

Yes, it took some time & a lot of phoning around as everyone seems to be on leave. I've got my first appointment on Monday with Nadia Prendergast, she is based in Mt Wellington, not too sure if that's too far away for you. I've been recommended Jo Mendoza, I think she works in clinics in both Remuera and Mt Wellington. Good luck & just keep trying
