After 18months TTC and no success we have finally decided to check what is going on.
The specialist we saw suspects that I have endometriosis and so I need to do a lap and dye test to check. Just wondered if anyone here has gone through this and also what outcomes for pregnancy for those who have endo?

Thanks 🙂

Hi Claire. Good luck with your upcoming op! Will you be going privately or publicly?

After 3 m/cs including failed IVF I finally went privately to get my lap done (specialists kept saying I didn't need it). Gynacologist decided since I was going under the knife to give me the complete treatment so had ovarian drilling for my pcos at the same time. Found (and removed) stage 2-3 endo, as well as flushing my tubes to check (all ok there) and removing some uterine polps and another light D&C. So was quite sore for a bit post op due to all the zapping inside. However, for me it worked wonders as my second cycle after I got pregnant and am now 29 weeks (following 6 years of no success).
Me: 35, PCOS, endo, DH: 34, severe MFI
6+ yrs TTC#2
M/C 2012, clomid 2013, IVM 2014, IVF 2015, M/C 2015
2016 FET#1- BFP - MMC - Emergency D&C
FET#2 - BFN
Jul 16 - stage 3 endo removed.
Oct 16 BFP

Hello, unfortunately many of the participants in this forum have any problems. For two years I could not get pregnant. My husband also underwent a check-up and so did I. But unfortunately the problem was in me (polycystic ovary). We were advised to agree to IVF. But for us it was a very difficult choice. We wanted our child to be conceived in a natural way. Therefore, we did not dare for a long time, but then all the same they thought it over. Because we realized that time is running, but there are no changes. Therefore, before us was the choice - either a child and IVF or loneliness. We were also asked to adopt a child. but we understood that we can not love him as much as we love our child.
We came to the clinic of reproductive medicine in our country. The doctor explained to us all the information, warned about possible complications. We were also given an agreement so that we read it and signed it. Well, we started the process of IVF. When the follicles ripened, and there were 14 of them, I was invited to the protocol. On the record, you need to go with your husband, because He simultaneously surrenders the material.
The protocol was conducted under a light intravenous anesthesia, I fell asleep, woke me up in the ward. After anesthesia, I quickly left, but all day there was terrible drowsiness. The protocol was successful.
Then I was informed that all 14 embryos were fertilized. There was a question: how many it is necessary. Up to the pile, I was still developing ovarian hyperstimulation, which frightened me, only in an easy degree.
On transplantation of embryos arrived on the 5th day .. And I was informed that out of 14 there were only 2 !!! I felt that I had already lost my children. After consulting with the doctor, they decided to put two, and not one at a time. Transplantation is absolutely painless and takes 10 minutes.
And all, it remains to wait 2 weeks and check the test. But much was impossible. These two weeks were the most tiring. How to worry, do not transfer words.
Well, in the end, the test is negative, no embryo is rooted, pregnancy has not occurred. The doctor said that you do not need to worry. And we were offered to use the surrogate motherhood program. We gladly agreed. We no longer wanted to waste time on unsuccessful IVF attempts. We went to Ukraine, where we found a clinic for surrogate motherhood. We are grateful to our staff of the clinic biotexcom.
I want to wish everyone who is going to make this procedure GOOD LUCK, GOOD LUCK AND SUCCESS !!! In the end, like it or not, no matter how many pros and cons.

Yes I can say that we also were in this clinic. But the most important thing in this matter is to find a competent doctor who is guided by the principle: "The main thing in IVF is not only to injure, but to give birth to a healthy child"! You can easily understand whether this is a good specialist. A good specialist always: 1) carefully examine the results of your tests, clarify the anamnesis. 2) will not lead you to the protocol until you have completed all the tests (hormones that can be corrected, cytology, strokes, etc.). 3) will not prescribe unnecessary drugs (for example, multivitamins are an additional burden on the body, which already experiences stress from stimulation). 4) warns about all possible risks based on your data (for example, hyperstimulation). My husband and I were in different countries and visited many clinics. But then we found our doctor in biotexcom. As for injections for stimulation in the abdominal cavity - they are absolutely painless. Moreover, it is not difficult even to do it yourself, the main thing is to carefully check the prescribed dose. This is also an important point - to do injections strictly in accordance with the schedule set by the doctor. Otherwise, the eggs will not be qualitative, but we need strong cells). What else can I say? Puncture is a painless procedure under general anesthesia, lasting about 20 minutes in total. Then after the procedure you will wake up and think that you are well rested. In the clinic, attentive nurses, so you will not be left unattended. The most interesting is the transplant and waiting. Do not be afraid of anything! Achieve your goal! Without a desired child, life is more terrible than the procedure!Decided on IVF, and even more so on the surrogate motherhood can not be so easy. Here it is important first of all to trust the doctor, and also not to be lonely. I mean the support of someone from the family, but only sincere support. Not all IVF attempts end successfully, many women have complications after IVF. Therefore, you need to live not by dreams, but by reality. If the doctor says that IVF does not make sense, then do not waste time, try surrogate motherhood. But many couples are giving away the last money for a surrogate motherhood, they take a lot of loans, so it's also not right. Solve these questions wisely, it is possible to go to a consultation in different clinics. But the main thing do not stop on the path to achieve your dream. Break the prejudices!
