Oh yay - finally a july thread!!!! I've been posting in the June 09 bubbas, as I originally thought I would be due 29th June, but due to my long cycle my EDD is actually July 2nd. I found out when I was just over 3 weeks, so have actually know for a while now .... been waiting for some more July mums to appear (in the mean time I've stayed in June as I will probably have to have a c section so will actually have a june bubba probably).

I agree - July is a great month (I'm a july baby!)

Any more July mums lurking ..... ??

Hi All

I think I will be a July mom as I am 5 weeks pregnant now. I have my first scan tomorrow. I think it is twins as my HCG levels were 109 000 at 4.5 weeks. I have had a lot of nausea - all day. Have tried everything to get rid of it!! Can't wait to start feeling well again. Can't wait for the scan tomorrow. Hope there are no problems as this is my first pregnancy.

A bit tenative about saying hello as I am only 4wks but we should have another baby arriving 12th July. I got a BFP this morning but have suspected I was pg for about 1.5wks now. Only tested this early as my mw for Jack has just had a baby so the mw I want to try and get this time is always busy, hoping that I am getting in early enough if I call tomorrow, fingers crossed!

ETA: I just re-read my post and I don't think it even makes sense! Had better head to bed!

Mild thrush (sorry TMI!) which seems to have gone away by itself, I had thrush when I was pg with Jack. Then I gave my boobs a squeeze (again, sorry TMI!!) and I had colostrum in the right one which was always by *good* breast when I was bf Jack. This was all at about 2.5-3wks. In the last few days or so I have had lots of twinges, mild aches like I have pulled my stomach muscles etc. I have felt a bit nauseus as well but I am not sure if that is all in my head, I had ms with Jack and I am wondering if my brain in playing tricks on me since I have suspected I was pg.

ETA: oh and things have started to taste funny, especially milk and I get a funny, almost furry feeling in my mouth after a cup of tea (only just remembered that as I have just finished a cuppa).
Oh dear nappy brain and baby brain! I'm doomed

My nausea has got worse today too. Was really tired at the weekend - absolutely shattered, and still feeling pretty buggered by late arvo every day.

I knew I was preg from the day I ovulated. Had nausea straight away so "felt" pregnant. I also got a bit more tired, then the funny taste started just over 3 weeks ... I tested at 3w3d and got a "half strength" positive. So I knew almost a week before AF was due!! I can only assume my hormone levels go up fast, as my nausea started straight away with Jake too. Boobs are still OK .... just the tiredness thats really doing my head in!! And today was the first day I've not known what to eat - and eaten HEAPS to stop feeling sick.

I have low blood pressure already, which sucks!

Hey Guys
I tested at 3 1/2 weeks also as just 'felt' pregnant! Only got a faint positive but re-tested yesterday and the line come up really fast and strong so yah!
Havent got morning sickness yet but imagine its coming as had it really bad in my first pregnancy. Just feeling tired at the mo.
Rung MW yesterday but away till mid Nov...

Hope your feel better soon Nikki :)

well I am feeling pretty lucky as I am not really feeling nauseus (sp??). Hope you guys are feeling better soon.

Am having trouble with what to eat though. I am trying to find a balance between being really cautious about food like I was with Jack, and eating what is easy. It is just that little bit harder with me working so am looking forward to being SAHM again in a few weeks.

I didn't test early as if it was +ve I would have had to tell DH and he is shocking with keeping a secret. At this stage I only wanted to tell family and then wait a few weeks and tell our work collegues but DH has already told 1 of his bosses. I know he is just excited and I am not really annoyed at him, I suppose just a little frustrated that he couldn't keep it secret for another few weeks.

Glad the scan went well Fergies

I always have a chuckle over this thread as it seems so slow moving. I used to *belong* to the Waiting to TTC thread and if you were away from it for a day you often had 3+ pages to catch up on, sometimes 5!

I still meet with my AN coffee group once a week. There are 3 of us who are SAHM's so meet every week, there are a few others that make it sometimes or catch up when we have a weekend family gathering. One of the regulars is 19wks pg and I decided today to tell them that I am pg. The other Mum said today that she is pg as well, turns out she is due 6days before me! So now I have 2 friends and SIL to go through pg with. I am looking forward to it as there was no one who was pg at the same time I was pg with Jack. I am looking forward to it.

Hi guys,
I haven't been on for a while, so I'm glad its slow moving!!! Been feeling so shattered by the end of the day, and I can't get online at my new work yet (don't want to risk it, they monitor internet usage). I've also still got bad nausea at times, yuck!

No midwife for me - my GP still delivers, so she is my LMC. She was with Jake too. I've known her for well over 10 years so trust her completely with my care. She also knows all my history (obviously) so I'm more than happy to stay with her.

Hi Mimii - welcome!

Hi there, seems I will be in here too, although have no idea what my EDD is yet (am hopeless with my AF), been for bloods today and waiting to be referred to Queen Mary (the hospital antenatal unit), but just guessing I think I am 5 weeks along. But will have to wait until I see midwife team and get a dating scan.

Probably looking at an Elective c-section this time around due to a rather bad 4th degree tear with my 1st, and a history of large babies in our family (or rather DH's family), Miss Elle was 9lb 15.

Had a bit of MS last week, but not so much this week, but OMG my boobs I'm sure have already gone up 1/2 a cup size and are really tender already.

Congrats to everyone else here, and looking forward to catching up with everyone soon.

well I had a bit of a scare last night. I seem to be having a bit of wind at the moment (sorry TMI) and I started to feel quite uncomfortable last night before tea and it just got worse. I got a really sore stomach. It was hard too as Bro and SIL were at ours as it is SIL's b'day today, plus SIL is about 15wks pg so I was trying not to panic. In the end, just after they left I was VERY sick . I haven't been that ill since I got food poisoning a few years back. I went to the GP today and he is pretty confident that it was a stomach bug and that I should be on the mend though. He said he couldn't do a scan as it is too early but if I am not better in the next few days I can have a scan on Monday.

I was really scared last night but didn't really want to voice my concerns to DH, I suppose in case I jinxed it and it was the baby.

And after all my ramblings, Hi to Pearls and Mimii, congrats to you both!

ETA: Hi and congrats to hailstones too

Well I am wondering at the moment why I decided to do all this again. I know that in a few (hopefully not more than that! ) weeks I will feel very different but at the moment I am feeling very sorry for myself. I got hit by this tummy bug that's been doing the rounds and last Mon night spend the evening kneeling in front of the porcelain god, was relatively ok during the week but then spent most of yeasterday sitting on the porcelain god! (sorry, TMI!)Then when that finally stopped the constant nausea of ms set in! So I am feeling shattered. DH has been pretty good and took Jack out for the morning and helped lots this pm. Unfortunately DH is going back to work tomorrow after 6wks on ACC so I am wondering how I am going to cope looking after a toddler by myself (got used to him being at home) while feeling like sh*t! Sorry Mumto3+1more?, I know I have it easy really.

Ok whinging, moaning and pity party over!!

Hope you are all fairing better than me!!

I don't know too much about tickers but I don't know if you will fit another one on with your photos. You have to add it to your signature in your profile (just above new topic in top right). The FAQ's thread in teh Admin section covers tickers

Aaah Linzy sorry that you feel so awful. Hoping you will be all better really soon.

Seeing the dr tomorrow and will see where we go from there. Looking at going through a hospital team rather (due to complications in previous pregnancies) and hoping she can refer me to get a dating scan done. If we go with guessing baby is due round and about 23 of July. Just hope to get to 12 weeks really soon so I can stop worrying.

I would imagine if you go through a hospital team it should be easy enough for you to get a dating scan done Shirena, or your GP should be able to refer you anyway.

I have my scan on the 27th, I'm going to drop DD at the creche at my gym (we can go 'off site') and then go to the appointment - I'm excited but trying not to think about it!

Seen the dr and got blood done and a referral for a scan. One place really busy and was just able to left a message. The other one have me in for Wednesday so far but we have to pay $50 and if they cant see anything I have to pay another fee to get another scan done. But Dr wants it done due to the spotting and brown mucous I had and because I am a teeny weeny crampy. But I am not too worried about it.

Seems we will go from there and do another lot of bloodtests and then she will refer me to the hospital team but for right now she is taking care of it.

Now just to get through to the other place first. Have no idea if I will be bringing McKayla with or not. Grant wont be able to go with me on Wednesday which is a bit of a bummer. I might just leave McKayla with one of my friends and go at it on my own.

We can try our best! I am already thinking about where the new baby will sleep, and what I need to get organised for the birth - have already got my friend to pencil me in for hiring a birth pool from her

Ha ha, I have already made a list of stuff we need to get for bubs, how to move stuff in our room so the cot can go in there (this kid better at least use the cot this time around), figuring out where to get a mattrass for the SA cot and keep on having to tell myself slow down you need to get to 12 weeks first.

Glad I am not the only one then Pearls. I really started to worry about myself.

Just feeling totally tired and shattered in the afternoon. Like really really really tired.

I'm in this group yay!! 6 weeks preg today. 2 positive home tests and a blood test today, but waiting on results of that. This is our first pregnancy and we are very excited, so much to learn and do!
How do I get a ticker can someone explain to me?

Posted By: myfullhouse
Date Posted: 17 November 2008 at 7:19pm
Hi skp, congrats! The FAQ's thread in the Admin section covers tickers, but basically click on anyone's ticker that you like and it will take you to the website to create your own. Then add the address to your profile in the top right just above 'new topic'.

I had a scan last Friday but I was only 5w5d so they could only see the sack. A friend from high school is a dr part time at my GP's practice and she sent me to dble check it wasn't ectopic due to the stomach pains I had been having last week. We were both pretty sure it wasn't but she thought I would feel better knowing. She is really great, she has a DS a few mths older than Jack so understands. She said I could get another one this week if I was worried due to the tummy bug, ms etc. I have my first mw appt next Mon but I may get another san later in the week just to make myself feel better.

Hey gals!

Hows everyone feeling?

Haven't been feeling too bad myself, a few bouts of Nausea here and there but otherwise not overly bad. Had a bit of cramping going on down there, but trying not to work myself up too much as had the same when pregnant with Elle.

Have an appointment at the hospital on the 2nd of december which seems so long away, still don't know an EDD but will wait for the appointment and hopefully will get sent for a dating scan.

Been to see my friend with a 1 week old today, god it made me clucky, she is sooo little, its hard to remember Elle ever being so little, seems so long ago!

Shirena and Pearls, you gals are organised!! I haven't thought too much of baby things yet, We have pretty much everything still here for Bubs, including clothes (if bubs turns out to be a girl that is).

On the subject of the baby's sex, who is going to find out the sex of their wee one. My DH doesn't like finding out the sex, although I really wanted to with Elle but it wasn't too be, not sure yet if I want to find out what we're having, it was kinda nice having the surprise last time!

ETA - Change some bad punctuation

We'll be finding out for sure (if baby complies that is) - as bubs will be the same season as DD, we will save a small fortune in clothes as I have kept 99% of Erin's

Feeling OK otherwise, nausea on and off, tired as b*ggery!

Hey girls, pleased to hear you are all feeling well. Wish I could say the same I am feeling sick 24/7 and have been now for the past 2 weeks. Had this on and off with Lily, so not quite use to it. But feeling very tired.

We won't be finding out!

Poor you Shellybean, I remember only too well being crook 24/7 with Elle, and it was even worse at work (I am a chef) around all the food smells. So I am stoked I am not feeling so crook (yet *touches wood*).

I know what you mean Pearls about saving money, we have still got sooo many of Elle's clothes.

The other day DH said he kinda hopes we have another girl, which kinda surprised me, thought he'd be hoping for a wee boy!

Big congrats skp. And welcome to the group.

We will be finding out, although according to McKayla baby will have straight hair, blue eyes and it it going to be a girl. Grant I think wants a girl as he always said he is more a daddy to girls (I think he is petrified of having a boy as he was really a boy boy).

I would just like a really healthy sticky baby. I am really starting to think Friday will be too early too see. I thought we saw McKayla at 5weeks 3 days but today when looking at her album (she insisted we look at her scan pics) I saw it was 5 weeks 5 days. She had a heartbeat and everything at 2,3mm big. But if I work out from the last time we could have fallen pregnant the youngest this bub will be is 5 weeks 1 day on Friday.

So hoping we will see at least something and then get another scan a week later to confirm.

Not too organised, I am just paranoid with stuff and like stuff planned to the T, seeing that I will still write exams in May, June which dont give much time to actually sort out stuff after that.

Just got a call from the dr's office and seems my numbers are a bit low so they want me to do another bloodtest tomorrow and see if it is going up. So hoping nothing is wrong but I guess I cant do anything at the moment.

Just have Playcentre in the morning and the property team meeting in the afternoon with another Kei tua Pai or something like that meeting right after that. Just going to have to go in the middle of it and go off for blood and come back then.

I thinks I spoke too soon, today, I am feeling like utter crap!!!! Had Ms off and on all day, eww yuck! So I sympathise with everyone now!!!

Pearls - good going on the swimming, I really need to think about what exercise I am going to be doing, I put close to 25kg on when I was preggers with Elle and really don't want to be going down that road again!

Shirena - good luck with the blood tests tomorrow, hope they all go well, have my fingers crossed for you!

Shirena - as far as I understand it, it's not the numbers that are worth worrying about, it's whether they 'double' or not within the specified timeframe. My numbers were on the low side too but more than doubled (between two tests) so I am satisfied, as was my GP. Good luck though!

Hailstones - I gained around 16kg when I was pg with DD, and I so don't want to do that again either! Took me two years to get it all off (and then some) LOL At the moment I am doing a workout in the gym once or twice a week, and yoga twice a week for an hour and a half.

Gosh you guys are good, the closest I get to exercise is Jack's swimming lesson (I am in the pool too) but haven't been in a while and talked DH into changing it to a Sat class so he can do it!

Feeling OK today, had a good sleep last night and 1.5hr nap today at lunch when Jack slept.

We won't find out the baby's sex. We had a surprise with Jack and that is the way I prefer it. DH wants to know but I do the work so I decide (horribe wife aren't I!!). DH wants a girl and then says that's it for babies (with MS I am starting to agree!) but I want 3. I think this one is a boy anyway due to the timing of BDing.

I still have all Jack's clothes but heaps are white, lemon and green so it will be fine for the new baby. I need a new bassinette (we borrowed one with Jack) and a capsule (again was borrowed), and am thinking of getting a dble MB

Hi all, haven't been on for a few days and things are moving faster now! Still feeling sick alot of the time, and tired most days, really really tired some days.

Congrats to the new mums-to-be joining us!!!!!

Yep, we will be finding out. Really hoping for a girl this time. If its another boy born the same week as Jake, at least we won't have much to buy though!

I also put on 16kgs with Jake - which was alot on my frame (started out 54kgs). I haven't been exercising apart from the odd walk, and have been eating heaps --- but was really hoping not to gain so much this time, as I still had 2.5kgs to lose when I got preg again (about 16months after having Jake). I didn't really lose any weight til I stopped breasfeeding when he was 10.5months, as my body wanted to hold the fat to keep producing milk!! (ie if I exercised, my milk supply dropped! Grrrr)

Shirena - good luck with the blood test!!
