Thanks Sheza. Feeling ok. Had cramping and mild brown spotting/mucous (sp?) so just taking each day as it comes for now. Also Im getting waves of nausea which sucks so early but Im happy to put up with it for a healthy bubba

No results yet Lame, so I have to wait all weekend.
I got the waves of nausea with Caden, I got full on MS at 6 weeks, but this time, ive got really mild MS(at this stage), Im quite greatful for that cos with caden it sucked, but all worth it at the end! ------------- |

I haven't had any symptons either - although I do feel a bit bloated - maybe that's all the xmas food I've been eating the past few days! Will tell my Mum today and probably close family too. We have brothers and a sister who came home from overseas for xmas, so it would be kinda nice to share it with them too before they go home. Welcome Laurz_20. Ive added you to our list. Will you be finding out what your having?? Well the spotting has completely stopped which I am really happy about. But it does make me freak a little too! Ive been getting waves of nausea throughout the day, nothing too bad though so I guess thats something. We are up in Hervey Bay for 4 days which is really cool, we went for a cool walk along the beach at sunset and got a cool piccie .

Im not sure whether I will found out. I found out with my son Guy so maybe I might keep this one a suprise. So put me down as undecided.
On a different note im so incredibly scared that im going to miscarry, ive had 2 before and I cant get the thought out of my head its driving me crazy. Anyone else experiencing this kind of anxiety? Oh and a dumb question for you all as you have all seemed to work this out but how do you add the timeline ticker thingy to your posts I have tryed and failed so many times. |

Rianna - I'm feeliing totally normal - wouldn't have known I was pregnant otherwise! And Laurz - yes I have the same anxiety about miscarrying - not because I have any reason to be worried, but because I've done so much reading lately around the issue that for some reason I've got myself a little paranoid about it! Sometimes the less you know the better right?!
Laurz, it took me a while to work it out too. Go to your profile and under signature write: (IMG)your ticker web address(IMG) - but with square brackets For example, mine looks like this: (IMG)http://preg.fertilityfriend.com/pregticker/229ad1/preg.png(/IMG) - but with square brackets. Laruz if I wasnt reading your post I could have thought I was thinking that anyways lol. I had a MC in July and that is all I can think about now too. I am petrified it will happen again and its really hard to stay positive  . I have an early scan booked which I will have at 7 weeks but that feels like for ever away lol!!!

How is everyone feeling? The nausea I was getting has slowed down. Not sure if thats a good thing or not. Does anyone have sore boobs?? Mine havent changed, except the odd bit of light coloured blue veins through the nipple area, but thats it (sorry TMI). haha Rianna - nope haven't got sore boobs yet but do have really sore nipples actually! Just the very ends are sore when you touch them  DH has been told to stay away! haha
have to say I'm looking forward to having sore boobs too - means they'll be growing which I'm definitely looking forward to the most!
Quite exciting that at 5 weeks the baby is about 5mm long and it's little heart starts beating - I love reading your ticker info - I just wish I didn't feel so normal though so I could feel more involved in the whole process! CONGRATULATIONS SEPTEMBER MUMMIES!!! WISHING YOU EACH A HAPPY AND HEALTHY PREGNANCY. Rianna, with my first pregnancy I didn't get any symptoms until I was about 7wks. It was so odd being pregnant without any 'proof' IYKWIM. But of course the evidence of that pregnancy is my beautiful vivacious little preschooler so everything turned out better than perfect I'm sure yours will too and I'm hoping the next 2 wks until your scan pass very quickly (you know you'll have to keep your well wishers - aka stalkers -------------

Thank god i dont have sore boobs thats the last thing I need is for them to grow im already DD.
The morning sickness I thought I was having ended up only being for that one morning so back to square 1 with only constant cramps but not bad 1s. I had them with Guy so im not too worried. I havent even booked a doc appointment yet. Not sure when I should. I have Guys unvailing next week so am just trying to get through this time without too many more worries, the blood tests the docs give me always freak me out when the HCG isnt rising ive had enough of that. ------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

lol Amy!!!! My DH is dying for my boobs to grow, he wants to take advantage of the 'free inlargement' lol (Im a B, so any increase is a good one in his opinion lol)...
Ive already had my first appt, I asked for a scan referral because of the spotting Ive already had and previous MC. So my next one is at 8 weeks I think. Oh Jo thats good to know IYKWIM. Hahaha stalkers, what stalkers lol

I was a D pre pregnancy, by 8 weeks I was a DD and I recently had a growth spurt and now am an E....god only knows what will happen when my milk comes in. Dont listen to anyone who tells you your boobs wont grown much after the first trimester!!!! -------------

Hi everyone. I've had dramas. I had a blood test on Monday because I am paranoid after my first mc. The HCG levels were 2970 (or somewhere around there). I hadn't been feeling very flash, quite bad cramping. About half an hour later I started bleeding, so I automatically assumed that I was having another mc. Wasn't heavy heavy, but still heavy enough. Yesterday I was as well, but less again. Today a very very small amount. Rang the doctor and got sent back for blood tests today and the level has gone up, but not by much. Its now around 3150. I now have to wait until Monday to find at whether it is viable or not. Not knowing is worse than "waiting" and I hate waiting!
I don't want to get my hopes up to have them come crashing down, but I don't want to be too negative either. Does anybody know what "normal" is for these tests? |

Just popping my head in to say, dont stress too much about the lack of symptoms right now, nothing really starts happening until 6 weeks+ With Caden, I felt all good up until 6 weeks, then i was crook as, Id had a few days of feeling queazy between4 weeks and 6 weeks but it didnt get into real MS until 6 weeks, and I had NO sore boobs what so ever, and I had spotting for 2 weeks from 5 weeks! This pregnancy, Ive had the spotting, basicly no MS, apart from feeling a bit sick when i dont eat enough, and Im really tired, but no sore boobs. Because of the spotting, Ive had my hcg done and they are high and rising well, so having no symptoms can me nothing at all! ------------- |

The thing with hcg is that its not so much the level, its how its rising, they say a healthy pregnancy the hcg will double every 48 hours or close to double, for example, mine on xmas eve were about 7000, then they were 12000 on Saturday and then 25000 on Monday. They could be lower than that but if they are doubling its usually all good, and sometimes your levels could go from 3000 up to like 15000! They really should do 3 blood tests over a week so get a good idea of whats happening. Im still spotting pinky a bit aswell even though my levels are fine, and I did with my son aswell. ------------- |

fingers crossed Sh_az that everything is fine..waiting sucks doesn't it!!...I know some woman have a period like bleed early in pregnancy..that gets mistaken for a normal period so maybe that's what it is. Hmmm wish I knew if I was UTD already!!...I'm sure it's far too early to be having symptoms and it's making me paranoid lmfao..Think I'm only 3DPO and have had bouts of nausea and tiredness..today being the worst. Sheesh if i am (though probably not) this hypothetical baby would have to be female!!....since i had no symptoms what so ever with Kahtrell til 8 or 9 weeks along. Regarding symptoms, I had none in the early stages . . . I did a pregnancy test in mid - February which came up positive and i thought i was about four weeks gone - when i had the dating scan in first week of March i found out i was 13 weeks pregnant (all with no symptoms) And Shaz - i had a bleed in Jan which i mistook for a period (hence why i didn't do a test till i missed Feb's AF). I think now it may have been implantation bleeding. I really hope everything works out for you

Thanks for the link amy. Made interesting reading. I've had a look at some other sites as well. Its a waiting game really, Monday seems like a very long way off and I am an impatient bunny!
On a funnier note, my husband has never been so interested in my periods .... asking every 5 minutes do you still have it, is it heavy, is it light, is it normal bla bla bla. It is a tad annoying but very sweet! I will keep you guys posted on my progress. Hope everyone has a good New Year - I imagine there will be no all night parties this time around! |

I guess the next thing to do is make an appointment to see the doctor. What happens there? First pregnancy bloods etc? When I was pregnant with my daughter I didn't find out until I was 7 weeks pregnant. I did my test at the midwife's centre. The midwife who did the test became my midwife. So no having to look around for midwifes etc. Not really sure of what to do from here. |

haha I'm as clueless as you fallen! I rang the doctor when I thought I was pregnant and they said that I could go down and get it confirmed with one of their pregnancy tests which I did. The nurse then said that the doctor would see me when I was 6 weeks which is on Tuesday which is my first appointment. I've had sore boobs for a week, but they're normal AF symptoms for me. Actually *prods them* , they don't feel as sore today as the past few days. I've felt soooo tired in the early evening the past two nights that I've slept for a few hours. That isn't going to work well when I go back to work on Monday. I have a 10 year old DD. I am undecided when to tell her. DF thinks we shouldn't tell anyone until after a scan. (20 weeks????) |

Fallen - you can get a dating scan if your GP is open to the idea, they usually prefer it to be at the 6 week point or slightly later. Morning ladies. How are you all feeling today? Ive been getting waves of nausea again but nothing thats too bad or unmanagable.
DH and I had a dentist check up yesterday. All went well, except for the times I was gagging on the silly mouth guard thingys with fluoride in them  . I have some fillings to have done in March, so Im hoping I'll be long over the MS by then.

Morning morning all! What a crap day - well where I am anyway - muggy and raining Although it's not as muggy as yesterday which is good.
Yay for sore boobs Rianna! haha only in this forum could I ever say that and not be looked at strangely! eek dentists - I haven't been for about 3 years - last time was when I had my wisdom teeth out. I've got pretty good teeth though and no fillings and I figure my teeth will tell me when it's time for a check-up haha
And welcome Star169! We're getting quite a little list here now.... I started "nesting" yesterday already! I had a major clean-out trying to condense two rooms into one so that we had a spare room for the baby. It was quite hard - needless to say I now have about 6 boxes full of stuff that we'll now need to store in the garage! Amy I was the same with the dentist until we moved to Aus. With our private health cover we get up to $500 each of dental care per year so figured we may as well use it. And Im pleased I did because since my check up last June I've needed a few fillings
Your sort out sounds really good. I will need to change one of our bedrooms from the study to the spare room in a few months for Baby's stuff. Laurz Im pleased your feeling better and the cramping is settling down. As for the Midwife from what Ive heard, its best to get in early

I don't know about the right time to find a midwife, Laurz. I guess it wouldn't hurt to give one a call and have a chat. Suppose this should be on my 'to do' list as well lol. Way to go on the sorting, Amy. I'm finding I don't have the energy to do much at the moment. Pretty cool you have MS already, Rhianna. Your preggy hormones must be majorly kicking in. I didn't get MS last time, food aversion was my thing. It will be interesting to see if the same thing happens this time around. I, well DF more than me, has decided to wait until after the 10 week scan to tell family. DD needs to be the first one of them to know. Are any of you keeping pregnancy diaries? I wrote one last time around. I gave it to DF to read the other night. He was quite blown away with the things that I went though at the time. The other day I bought a notebook for this pregnancy. I just put the date, how many weeks I am, how I'm feeling, whats happening, who I've told and a list of baby names and things I need. Personal question... how do you feel about being 'intimate' with your partners at the moment? I'm fine with it, but DF has said he might hurt baby so it might not be such a good idea. I think baby is cushioned enough in there to not be at all harmed. What do you all think? |

Laurz - I started calling around different midwives at 4 weeks, and I had settled on one by 5.5 weeks, I wanted to make sure I got in especially as I am wanting a homebirth. fallen - we probably had a bit of a drought between finding out and having sex "again"... but mostly because I felt so rotten! We were back on the wagon from about 10 weeks. I think you're right though, baby is well and truly nestled in there with plenty of its own 'protection'

Fallen I was going to buy a preggie journal so I can keep tabs on whats going on and think it will be a nice keepsake when baby is older. But I think I will wait till Im 12 weeks before I buy one.
As for 'special cuddles', I have refrained and DH is pretty keen for some but Im not willing to take the risk. Although Im sure it wont do anything I would rather wait. ------------- Our Angel July 08 Gone but not forgotten

I do like your diary idea Fallen - although I don't really have much to write in it at the moment. I am the same as you, I don't want to get my hopes too high yet as I am not having morning sickness, cravings/aversions or any other super obvious symptoms, but then again I'm sure its just all in my head and baby will be fine. Will probably feel better after the doctor tomorrow. |

Wow this thread has gotten busy in the past little while!
The picture is a piece of digital art by a friend of mine. I love it. I wrote whenever I felt the urge in my pregnancy journal. Sometimes specific stuff. Sometimes just how I was feeling. It helped to have an outlet for that sort of thing as I was doing the whole pregnancy/baby thing by myself that time. |

| Went for my doc appointment today, had external exam, blood/urine tests, and an appointment for a 6wk scan next monday. Can't do one yet as nothing really there to see. Doctor said all symptoms seem normal for 4 weeks, but just wants to be sure. Just waiting for the results now, hopefully today, if they don't ring I will ring later |

Ok according to the doc im due 2nd september. Im gutted I wanted it to be 1st September. I worked it out on my period and did the calculation on like 5 different sites they all said 1st September. Im going to keep saying 1st september until I have my dating scan then ill have a real date.

Haha I hear you on the frequent toilet stops, Star. I counted I went 8 times at work. It was rather extreme.
I haven't really had cramps, just felt like I had a bottle brush up my fufu last week. And just a heavy feeling in that area this morning. DF has made an appointment for me at the doctors for Saturday at 8.30am. Could it possibly be any earlier??
