Ok so there is a 2ww thread so how about a waiting to ovulate thread. There are so many of us that have to wait for ages to ovulate so here we go Im on CD 20 and still waiting and honestly dont feel like i will anytime soon... this sucks!

How are the other waiters?

Yep, I'm waiting too. I'm on CD 15 and I'm sooo impatient. The days are ticking by so slowly

It's my first month temping properly and going from my temps I may have ovulated 2 days ago (CD13). Usually my cycle is about 33 days on average so ovulation isn't likely ... prob just a freak change in temps. Will have to wait a few days more to see if higher temp holds before I know for sure.

Ah poos My temp went down again this morning so I haven't ovulated yet. Must have been a freak reading. I am sooo wishing I had been temping before now so I could've known my cycle a bit better.

Good luck to you all

oops i took my temp 40mins late i did'nt even hear my alarm (probably got someting to do with DH coming home at 3 this morning and waking me up ) it was a big jump tho but not very accurate i think!

that sux Amber! hopefully there were some other eggs around the place!!!

Noodle, fingers crossed that it was ovulation then and not because of the 3am wakeup call. I woke up at 4.30am and as soon as I wake up that's it for me I can't get back to sleep, so I've been mooching around on net and playing games waiting for DP to wake up before we can go shopping.

Hey, how important is it to temp at exactly the same time each morning? I was just doing it when I wake up and that varies by 1-1.5 hours each day. That might be why I get the fluctuations.

Hey girls..Im not to sure about the time thing, I generally try and take it at the same? no rise for me this morning bugger it! oh well practise makes perfect lol! good luck girls

Posted By: Guests
Date Posted: 24 March 2007 at 9:40am
Its important to take it within 30mins either side so noodle sounds like it could be promising see what tomorrow does.

As for me nothing here gah!

Posted By: Freesia
Date Posted: 25 March 2007 at 5:49am
I had another rise back up to exactly what it was 2 days ago. Please let this be it. Yesterday I was having pains in my side. Could have been ovulation pains but I'm not really too sure. Before this month I never knew that people even felt them, so I had never really taken much notice. Then there is the possibility that I only felt it because I have been reading about them here . Oh well, nothing to do again except wait another few days to see what pans out.

How have you gone Jess, Noodle and Kye? Any luck with you guys?

Hey Girls
I had a temp rise this morning YAY ...but I didnt take it until 8.30am which is 1 1/2 hours later than ususal and I had a few drinks last night...not sure if alcohol effects temps???? so fingers crossed its ov! Great that you got a rise Amber hope the other girls do to

good afternoon ladies!
Amber and Kye fingers crossed that it was ovulation for you guys
and to you Jess i know how frustrating it is! sux big time!!!!
bit confused bout me (& FF) tho temp went down today but then FF put in dashed lines saying i am 9 DPO which i dont believe (again after i have just got rid of my supposid (dont even know if thats a word lol) ovulation lines on day 43)I think my temps still look pre ovulation! and i really hope i didn't ovulate when it is saying i did because i was sick that week and didnt BD much before hand, and only the morning after! STUPID PCOS! oh well will just have to wait and see what happens at least if AF does arrive i can start my clomid and have my HSG to get this show on the road!
will keep on BD in the mean time tho surley the practice cant hurt!
sorry post a bit of a novel and sorry if i confused you all!
hope everyone is having a good sunday!

Posted By: Guests
Date Posted: 25 March 2007 at 7:30pm
noodle it is possible that you actually have your temps are still lowish but are remaining up higher if you get me?

Sorry if u have and it was bad timing the clomid should hopefully help you heaps

Posted By: noodle
Date Posted: 25 March 2007 at 9:08pm
sorry Jess i dont understand? did you see my chart? do you mean that the temps after where FF is saying I ovulated are a bit heigher than the others but are still lowish? but i could of really ovulated? ha ha ha i think i just confused myself more!!!
Another question (maybe TMI) whats with CM and ovulation? can people (me ) have hardley any at all and only teny tiny amounts of watery or EW throughout my cycle and still ovulate? is not much fertile CM a PCOS thing?    sorry bout all my questions but you do help heaps to make things a bit clearer in my very confused head!!!!!! you are a real

Posted By: Guests
Date Posted: 25 March 2007 at 9:31pm
It is possible to ovulate and not have overly high temps i didnt believe i had ovulated one month and my specialist said i did. Something is telling me when i look at your chart that it is right if u take the W CM out it may give you solid lines.

Heres my chart from that month i was talking about

Yep i have had months where i have had hardly any CM and still ovulated. Generally CM is from increased hormones so lack of maybe from PCOS cant say for sure sorry.

had a rise this morning and FF moved ovulation to the friday just been, i am wondering if it was actually yesterday (if at all) with my rise today because i did take my temp 40mins late on sat morning so will hold out leaving yas just yet for a few more days till i see whats definatly happening! only if yas will still have me tho???

And Jess DH and i got married the month before you guys

Kye, the charts we are all using are from here:

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ - Fertility Friend

After you have joined up and filled in your chart, there is an option on the left "Sharing" and then "Home page setup". Once that is setup you go into your profile here and use your Fertility Friend homepage URL (that you just setup) to fill in the "Homepage" option.

Not sure about the pictures other than using the little tree button in the Post Reply section.

And the little thingy down the bottom is called a ticker. There are heaps of pages on the net where you can create them. I just browsed through other topics until I saw one that I liked and clicked on it, that will take you to a website where you can make one. Once you have made one, copy the code for it (i think it's the URL option) into the Signature section of your profile. At the bottom of the Profile page, you can select "always attach my signature to posts"

I hope you can understand these, now that I read it back I'm a bit confused. Oh well, we're here if you get stuck.

Date Posted: 26 March 2007 at 6:35pm
I'm waiting too, though I am hoping that eggie is coming within the next 24 hours - had a positive OPK today, so fingers crossed. Hopefully there's a temp jump tomorrow.

Jess, I never seem to have any cervical mucous at all - it has me very perplexed. I remember getting it all the time when I was younger and feeling all grossed out by it, but now that I am looking for it it is nowhere to be found. What's the deal??

Posted By: noodle
Date Posted: 26 March 2007 at 6:57pm
hi laurie! welcome to the pre ov chat your positive OPK sounds promising for you! hopefully you have a rise tomorrow! and i also dont hove much CM at all jess said that some months she didn't have much either and still ovulated so i dont know! female bodies are proving to be quite weird lol

this is great being able to check out each others charts! great idea Jess!
DH and I got married in Orewa about 20 mins north of auckland at the beginning of November 05

Kye if your not sure you ovulated just keep on BD just in case thats what we are doing DH doesn't seem to mind considering we have been trying for 19 months i think he is doing quite well    ha ha ha

and great explanation Amber i understood what you ment and i am not very computer literate!!!

Posted By: Freesia
Date Posted: 26 March 2007 at 7:36pm
Hi Laurie, the + OPK is all good. And Noodle, your temp tomorrow will be interesting Kye, I had food poisoning last month, I couldn't hold anything down for 5 days (even water) it was horrid It was from a day old cream donut from P&S (was kept in the fridge too!) Teach me for being a guts

I usually don't have any CM either so I was starting to worry about that. It's always nice to know that others are in the same boat.

Hey Laurie +opk is all good! fingers crossed :) noodle practice makes perfect hahaha. Amber yeah food poisoning is horrid I was a guts too and picked at the chicken I was cooking! Naughty! wont be doing that again!
lets hope tomorrow brings a rise for everyone

Laurie im so jealous of your +OPK lol but on the lighter side ...... I HAD WATERY CM!!!!!!!!! woohoo i have no idea why im excited about that but i am lol i may not even ovulate for all i know haha.

This sucks i hate waiting! BALLS to it all i say!

Oh i have a small confession to!

I have a BAD addiction to taking my temp at night i know i know i shouldnt but i so want to see high temps!!!!!! LOL I dont chart them i just do it coz i can lol

Posted By: Freesia
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 5:36am
You're not alone Jess. I took my temp 3 times yesterday just out of curiosity to see if "generally" it was a little higher

-------------

Posted By: Freesia
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 5:56am
I'm getting a little excited today. I've just entered my temp into FF and it thinks that I might have ovulated on Sat, putting me 3 DPO . It is a dotted line though so it says that my fertility signs are somehow in conflict. And Sat was the day i took my temp an hour earlier than usual. My temp did go up a bit today so again it's a wait and see if it stays up there

-------------

Posted By: noodle
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 6:53am
I do that too!!!! ha ha ha

yay for your watery CM Jess fingers crossed!

yay Amber hopefully it was

I had a drop this morning and FF moved suspected ovulation back and thinks i am 11 DPO so i will continue to wait and see

hopefully kye and laurie got high temps this morning

Posted By: KiwiL
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 8:30am
Jess... I'm jealous of your CM! Ha ha, lol.

Nup, same temp this morning so the +OPK is confusing. However, I tend to have the pink test line fade in over time (well, it did last month and this month) and last month I had two days of dark line. Yesterday I could have sworn they matched though. Will have to see what today's test brings....

Girls, I have never considered taking my temp later on just for curiosity. But now I am desperate to!!

Amber - good luck with the temp rise. Noodle - no wonder the confused face!

Posted By: Guests
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 8:43am
GAH my temp didnt do anything special but it is showing the trend that it used to do for ovulation before i had Ella. Im considering going to see a specialist i need to crack this on the head before i go to insane ya know?

I wanna be fit enough to handle my pregnancy if it is rough again plus i want 2 more kids (Cory doesnt know that tho LOL)

Noodle how confusing sometimes i hate FF for that reason. If you take out the fertile CM what do the lines do?

Amber im not sure on your ovulation either sorry chicka but only time will tell

Laurie a +OPK means you *could* ovulate within 12 - 24 hours so it could happen sometime today and your temp shoots tomorrow if that makes sense?

Posted By: Freesia
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 10:31am
So I guess we are all "waiting to see" It's so frustrating not having any definite answers. I thought about getting some OPK's but it sounds like you won't always get definite answers from them either.

Kye how did you get on today?

-------------

Hey girls hope all works out for you sounds promising!!! I had a slight temp rise this morning and still have eggy stuff bit confused cause FF says may have ov last thursday??? what do you girls recon looking at my chart? Im not convinced! off to the Dr next wednesday for some answers!

Another quick question, Im on the free trial for FF and was wondering do you guys pay for the VIP or is there a standard version for free after the months trial?

Posted By: noodle
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 12:30pm
Yea Amber i think we are all waiting to see! how annoying!!
yea jess you dont wana waste another year when ya bodys doing just what it use too! and i dont know what happens when i remove the fertile cm i'll try and let yas know
kye after your month on free trial you can continue charting but just without all the fancy stuff

Posted By: KiwiL
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 12:33pm
I've just paid for the VIP version. I probably didn't need to, but after the trial expired it was just so different to look at... I got used to seeing all the extra things, so I caved and paid my USD16.95!

Posted By: noodle
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 12:35pm
ok i tested FF when i take 1 out and leave one of them it takes ovulation away but if i leave them both there or have none at all it keeps ovulation there still just dashed lines tho! confusing enough!! ha ha ha gota laugh otherwise i'll cry!!! ha ha ha na i've been dealing with my stupid body long enough now i just go with the flow! (still annoys me tho! )

Posted By: Freesia
Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 1:12pm
Kye and Noodle, both of your charts look as if you have higher temps now - if you sort of step back and view the chart as a whole so maybe FF is right and you have both ovulated.

Laurie, the VIP version, is that for a subscription or a one off fee? There are the features in there that I really like. Still on the free version for now (hopefully I'll get preg soon and won't need it).

Jess, at least you know that clomid worked for you with Ella. Hopefully, if you do end up needing it, then it will work for you just as quick.

Sorry Laurie scratch that question. Spent ages yesterday looking for it and within a few minutes of opening up the FF page today I found it ... what a dunce

-------------

Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 3:53pm
I was lucky coz when i started TTC back in 2004 i paid a set fee for VIP for FF so im permanently a VIP and i never have to pay anything They dont offer that anymore tho

I think i have been getting TONS of EWCM today so hopefully its ovulation day for me ill have to go and jump Cory hehe

Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 4:11pm
Yay , hope it is ovulation for you and I'm sure there'll be no complaints from Cory

Date Posted: 27 March 2007 at 4:20pm
Oh, that was lucky for you Jess. Of course, I am sure none of us actually want to be using FF!

Next month DH and I will be taking a break from trying. We have a wedding to go to in the Marlborough Sounds right at the time I would be due if I conceived next month. It's his best friend's wedding and he is best man, so it would be bad form to miss it. Of course, we'll probably be one of those freaky couples who manage to conceive two weeks out from ovulation! That would be Murphy.

So... the point of that was that I still hope that, even with a month off, I won't have to pay for another subscription!

Wohooooooo go Jess and Laurie!!!!!!!!

yea Amber i guess the temps are a bit higher when you look at it like that, prob not high enough to be preggie temps tho if it was ovulation but that doesn't matter i'd be happy with AF aswell at the moment that way i can start everything to help me along

maybe subconsiously (sp) i dont want to leave you lot tho we all need to move onto the 2ww together! ha ha ha hopefully buy the end of the week we can ALL be hanging out there!

LOL Love the ticker Jess. I originally had one with a pot of gold at the end and was using the 4 leafed clover as the counter Was trying anything for a bit more luck!

Noodle, aren't the charts confusing? At least the temp's are remaining high now - good sign

If my ovulation was on CD18 that would prob work a bit better I think (in respect to the BD)

Hey girls charts are blimin confusing! I had a temp rise this morning YAY but I had to get up to go to the loo in the night...was trying to hold on so it meant I was only asleep for 1 1/2 hours before I took temp....hopefully this hasnt provided a false rise??? Also FF has only given me a dotted line! Man I got a pimple and sore boobs today DAMN HORMONES!
Have a good day girls haha like the snail Jess hope it happens for you soon! I should have a snail too haha

I also had a temperature rise today, but it was less than 0.2 degrees. However, with the OPK it does indicate that I have probably ovulated.

So... we've done the deed and crossed our fingers and now we just go into the waiting stage.

Have been a little jaded lately so am not going to get my hopes up too high this time round.

Hurry up girls! We all need to get into that other forum!

Thats great news Kye and Laurie! It would be soo nice to know for sure when ovulation was. Hopefully over the next few days we will all get high temps and we can mass exodus over to the TTW. I don't wanna leave this thread now until everyone can go Jess I'm sending eggie vibes in your direction

And... hopefully I can still hang out in this thread even if I have ovulated. Right?!?

Don't know about the rest of you but my mood has really lifted now that I'm pretty confident I have ovulated - it's like one hurdle over and done with.

Yay Amber its good aye!
although i still dont want to get my hopes up too high after waiting for soooooooooo long to ovulate i've just got in the back of my mind that it didn't really happen and FF is going to say it hasn't yet and that i'm still waiting and that would really suck! but then on the other hand i am really excited at the possibility that it has happened! just a bit of mixed feelings for me i think!

sorry i just read back over this post and thought that i didn't mean to put a downer on your post! I think it is great that your mood has lifted and you are looking foward to the next hurdle! Hopefully that hurdle will be a BFP

Nah, I get what you're saying noodle. "Cautiously optimistic" I'm calling it With FF you never really can tell, so all morning I was trying out different temps for tomorrow and a few days after that and whatever I put in, FF still thought that I would've ovulated at some point. A little bit obsessed you reckon lol GUILTY

Well im not temping so not too sure but have had some pains like stiff tummy muscles in my lower abdomen im thinkin could be ov. FF says i could be fertile the next few days with ov between sat and weds next week so to be on the safe side i better get to bed and hope i have my timing right (well ill be BDing alot till end of next week just in case). if it doesnt happen this month im definately temping next month but for now its time to enjoy the fun bit hahaha

Good luck Wrxchic and enjoy the "fun bit"

Good news for me ... another high temp and FF has now moved my ovulation day forward to CD18 (as Jess predicted) but it has also put solid lines in ... YAY I just hope that I read my CM right as that changes everything

So I guess I should go over to the TWW thread now / Hopefully we will all be over there shortly!

good luck wrxchic

and yay for you Amber! you have definatly graduated!!!

my temp a tad bit lower this morning but it didn't alter FF dashed lines I might jump between the 2 threads just to be on the safe side

Fingers crossed for Jess, Laurie and Kye!

Seems to be all on at the moment. That's good.
Any change for you Jess?

I had another increase today, so combined they are both dramatic. I'm also guilty of putting in future temperatures and when I put a similar one in for tomorrow FF will give me the lines.

So that's good. Didn't BD yesterday, hopefully the previous three days would have been good enough!
