congrats and good luck, not a dec mum, have just managed to scrape thru into november.. might actually do it this time, have been 2 - 3 weeks early with my others. that is such a good age gap. Paris and Ayja are 22 months apart, ayja and the newbie will be about 30 months apart, so about 2 and a half years. Am a little more apprehensive as ayja has had more time to be the baby and is quite demanding anyway.

anyways, congrats and look forward to progressing towards being big fat and preggers with you. lol

Janine I haven't had a 30 month gap but Briona actually adjusted a lot quicker to Krystiana's arrival than Hannah did to Briona's - I put it down to Briona already been used to sharing attention. Well here's hoping for you, anyway!

Lisha congrats again! My eldest was born in the last week of December (2003), it's a great time of year to have a baby - right before it gets too hot!

This so needs to be stickied as I keep losing it.
I have had a very faint BFP so am thinking esp as no AF has appeared and I have sore boobs that are getting sorer by the day that I am pregnant.
Will be my first and am really excited as manged to get pregnant first month trying with PCOS. DH still doesn't believe I am as had managed to convince him to start trying on the theory that there was no way it was going to happen. Unsure of due date yet but thinks its around the 6th of Dec.

Hey again

How early should we book antenatal clasess for the 3rd trimester? Someone said we should book now!?

Also, we've looked at the classes that are held near us. They're $160. Just want to check the that's "about right". Whaddaya think?

Thanks

In Palmy North there are 3 sets of classes (last I knew) and two of them are free, I think the other one is $10pp. Does the $160 fee include a limosine?? LOL

Congrats earlybird!

With antenatal classes, I booked myself in at around 15weeks and was told I was jumping the gun but I didn't care lol. But I suppose it depends what area you live in and how full the classes get

Posted By: Peanut
Date Posted: 25 April 2007 at 1:04pm
I have been told to book when you are around 16 - 18 weeks to get the class you want. Some classes won't take bookings until you are at that stage apparently.

Congratulations, Early bird.

Am off for my first midwife appt this afternoon and feel like I am armed with a 100 questions.

Also am feeling like my pants are getting tight...does anyone else feel like that? Didn't think it could happn at 8 weeks!
How is everyone doing?

Hi Jess, I'm due 24th as well... cept this will be our first. Do you have many preg symptoms yet??

Posted By: youngmumnz
Date Posted: 28 April 2007 at 11:21am
Hi there, only symptom i have had so far was missing my period kind of lucky i didnt have any morning sickness with my daughter either, and omg yeh its hard with her cause she is still having her morning feeds at like 3am and 6am i have sooooo many iron tablets to take its not funny. Whats quite funny is i did my test for Talia last year on the 26/04/06 and did this one on the 26/04/07 lol we only realised that last night its kinda freaky ay lol We are waiting till 12 weeks to tell Amiee whom is my partners daughter but i class her as mine cause ive had her since she was 9months and she is 2 now, waiting the 12 weeks cause we lost our baby before i got pregnant with talia so ya know just in case. lol How is everyone? hows your pregnancy going little red?

Posted By: LittleRed
Date Posted: 28 April 2007 at 3:29pm
lol.. well April looks like a good month for you! I don't really feel much different at the mo, just a few little twinges in my tum which i read is something to do with the uterus stretching and a bit tender up top ... this is my first pregnancy so don't really know what to expect. my doctor said it might be hard finding a midwife being due xmas eve so she told me to try and find one now, will you try and find one early?

Posted By: Peanut
Date Posted: 28 April 2007 at 5:16pm
My friend is due on the 21st and she has really struggled to find a midwife. Rang 10 before she found one that was working over christmas so I would get onto it pretty quickly!
Had my first wave of morning sickness today and so not at fan of it.

Ring 0800 mumtobe (I think) and they send out a list of midwifes in your area or else put a general post on here and you will get heaps of feeback and recommendations.
I would def start sooner than later looking as its a tricky time of year! I wrote a post about it above.

Hi girls

I would love to join in too! Congrats to everyone else and their BFP's.

I am due on 18 December (not the best timing in the world huh!).

I so far have been feeling pretty yucky at various times of the day. I haven't actually thrown up yet though which is a bonus.

Ladyluck: my GP gave me the number of a consultant MW who you can make a free appt with and she'll discuss all the options for care with you and even find you a MW. I wonder if there's anything like that in Ham?? Otherwise I guess you just start calling around?

Congrats, Sally Belly!

Dec, although warm, isn't the best time for finding midwives etc.

I am feeling all good, slight nausea at times but never even felt like vomitting. have sorted out my clothes as all my pants and half my skirts don't fit already..which is a scary thought.

How are you all coping with work? At the moment I'm finding I'm totally not interested & unmotivated. I guess I just have other things on my mind    Plus, the tiredness doesn't really help when sitting behind a computer screen for most of the day.

Have any of you told your family/friends of your pregnancy yet? So far we have only told my parents and sister. We're just waiting to get a bit further on before telling others b/c I had a m/c in Feb so we want to be sure.

Sally Belly, we have told all our family and some close friends as we decided if the pregnancy turned to custard we would need support!

Work is challenging, feeling the same as you but as I am a teacher I find it extremely challenging to keep my energy levels up all day.

Good idea Peanut (telling your family & close friends I'm referring to). We did that last time too but have chosen not to this time round. Not really sure why though...

I'm really battling with the old morning sickness. It's annoying b/c sometimes I feel really hungry but a minute later I feel really sick and so not like eating. But I'll keep chugging things down as best I can. I seem to have gone off a lot of foods I used to like too... very strange this whole pg thing I think!

Hope you all have nice & relaxing weekends girls

I am feeling all good. No sickness really as long as I keep eating, am over the tiredness, boobs a settling down but I do have a nagging pain in my left hip and a sore lower back at times.

I still haven't gone to the Doctors yet. Will possibly do it this week.

Morning sickness has eased off a lil this week. I am finding the smell of the fridge (even if its clean) can set me off.

I have been lucky enough to be given most of the large items. They are top of the line and in new condition so I am stoked. Ladyluck, you must be due on the same day as me, 27 Dec? Has anyone got a little bump yet? I am only 8wks but definitly notice a bulge very low down and although I can do up my pants they are uncomfotable as they kinda dig in (they are normally tight but now it feels more uncomfortable to wear them).

Hey there,

I am now 11 and a half weeks.  I have just been to see my midwife and heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time.  It was so exciting.  My husband was at work so we left a message on his answer phone of the baby's heart beating.

My first scan is booked for Monday.  I can't wait for that.  I'm not looking forward to having to hold in so much water for it though.  My bladder is getting very weak!

Hey Topsy, I am starting to show too but at the moment I think people just think that I look fat and not pregnant.  Bring on the real baby bump I say!

I hope you guys are all feeling ok and that your MS is not too bad.

To get the pregnancy ticker you click on the link and choose the type of ticker you want, enter in your dates and bingo. Then you copy and paste the code into your signature.

Someone else might be able to give more info on this.

----

I haven't noticed a bump as such, though I am overweight and it could be in there some where. I think for a while, I am just gonna look fat and then eventually have this massive bump.

I can't wait til I go baby shopping (once I know the sex of the baby). Right now though, I just buy some small things every week.

Topsy, I have to confirm my date with the Doc, as I just worked out mine online.

I have just been over to the UK so couldn't help myself and came back with heaps of newborn clothes.  It would have been so much easier if I knew what sex the baby was before going though.

Heya

I think once you create your ticker, you have to copy and paste the code into your signature.

The code to copy is the one underneath "PseudoHTML, UBBCode™ or BBCode" I think.

Then you go to your forum profile (top right hand corner of this page, click "profile").

Once there, scroll down to your signature and then you paste your copied baby ticker into that box and save your changes.

Make sure when you post messages that you have "show signature" selected.

Hope that makes sense. Good luck.

Hi Guys, Sorry been soooo tired I haven't really been spending much time on the pc. I'm definately having ms, food is the enemy at the moment! Can't say I'm liking pregnancy so far. I managed to find a midwife and we have our 2nd meeting with her in June to listen to the heartbeat.

Does anyone else feel short of breath or is that just me? I'm not showing but I'm getting fatter :O) and I've gone up a cup size already, None of my work jackets do up!

I had shortness of breath but it has stopped now. I started showing really early so I think that meant that it popped out and I could breath again but def know where you are coming from!
Also have the breast issue and not much fun when they were big enough to start with!

Oh yeah, I know how you feel. I have been having the most painful breasts ever, I even thought my nipple was a funny shape this morning. Maybe TMI.

My tummy is bigger, but it just looks like fat because I am overweight. So when I wear my jeans it pushes my belly up and out. Gah.

I get morning sickness often. Not the best feeling in the world, but when you remember what it is all for it's all worth it.

I don't think I have a baby bump yet but I think some extra "padding" is being added to my waist and hips instead. All for a good cause though

I too get shortness of breath sometimes. It was a bit scary at first as I know I'm not as fit as I should/could be. But I'm thinking I'll give swimming a go soon but it is hard to get myself off the couch when I feel so sick most of the time...

I'm not sure when we'll start buying the bigger items but perhaps we might start around the 20 week mark?? My plan is to to make a list and buy the things gradually - or as gradually as possible anyway.

Who has told their work yet? I'm not sure when to do it...

I told my boss as soon as I found out. She was great about it. I work for a small company that prides itself on family. If she wasn't my boss, I probally wouldnt have told work so early.

I told my bosses as soon as we found out. They are great about it, I wanted to give them as much time as possible to come up with a game plan but haven't told the other staff yet, will wait a few more weeks there i think. Although they must suspect cause I'm eating like a horse at the most bizarre times and normally im on a fairly healthy diet. isn't is weird how one day you want a certain food and then the next day the smell of it makes you feel ill?? this process is so weird. no one told me pregnancy was so crappy

Allright December mums to be, we are really behind all the other months on their posts so lets get the ball rolling by telling each other about ourselves. Then we may be able to post more if we feel we know each other more!
I will start......
Hi my name is Kirstin. I am from Rotorua and am 25 years old. My partner(we are not married...yet)is 27 and works at a hospital. I study as an extramural student in my final year of a Marketing degree. We are expecting our first and will be finding out the sex. I am due on 27 Dec and hope it is not an early baby as I dont want to miss my exams in early November. I have been suffering morning sickness for more than a week and vomit at least once a day(TMI!). I have not had an appoint with my midwife yet but am looking forward to hearing the babys heart beat.
Well you all know a little about me and now it is your turn...........

Great idea Kirstin. Here's mine -

My name is Sally & hubby & I are both 30. We live in Auckland where I work as a planner & DH's in the navy. This baby will be our first & the due date is 18 December. I'm hoping it won't be exactly one week late for obvious reasons!! We will probably be finding out the sex if we can. DH really wants to & is currently trying to convince me we should. I too have had terrible MS which hangs around 24 hours a day! Oh what fun. We had an early scan at 6 wks where we saw the heart beating away. Was very reassuring I can tell you!

Who's next?

Hey, my name is Tara and I am 22, the fiance is 21. We are a very domesticated couple (for our age) and look forward to a safe and healthy pregnancy. I have morning sickness most days, but we are coping with it. For the past 5 and a half years I have been working in Administration and currently doing Credit Control and Purchasing. Not sure what I'd like to do for a career, but I do know I'd make a great mother. Haven't been to the doctors yet, I am about 8 weeks tomorrow. Have been looking for midwifes but not having much luck. Due approx. 28th December, yet to be confirmed. My fiance Tom is british and has been here on a working holiday visa, he has until June 2008. We did have plans to go back together, but these may be on hold and might have to try get him on a relationship visa (by then we will be married and baby will be 5-6 months old).

Cute bag!!! Its always so tempting to buy clothes etc but not knowing the sex makes the colour choice a little boring, so I am trying to wait! In saying that, I have bought/been given 4 onesies, matching blanket, baby ugg boots, scratch mits and bought myself some maternity singlets which will be good in summer. I cant wait to have a shopping spree! How is everyone feeling this week? I still have morning sickness but have been reading a week behind in my book(this week is week 9 but I was reading week 8 because I am 8wks preggas) so it says ms should start to settle.

Mine seems to have been getting better today. I wasn't sick, just got that feeling.

Yeah that bag is cute eh? It came in a blue design and a pink design. But I liked the beige (plus no idea what I am having).

Does anyone feel they know what they are having? I have this feeling I will have a lil boy (but I will probally have a girl hahaha).

My mother recons she knew she was gonna have girls both times. I think she mustive rocked herself to sleep every night going "I'm having a girl, I'm having a girl". Hahaha.

I think I am having a girl and strangly so does everyone else. I will be shocked at the scan if it has the extra bits but happy none the less. I will be happy with either a boy or a girl. At the moment it feels like an alien as it makes me sick 24/7!
Whats everyones favourite and least favourite thing about being pregnant? My favourite would be being able to use it to my advantage to get out of things such as picking up the dog poo and going to the stinky recycling center. Least fav is definitly morning sickness. Ooh and my new craving is lime primo flavoured milk.

Topsy! You and I are such alike! I am craving chocolate primo!

My fav thing right now about being preggers: If I say I am tired, fiance runs off to save the day and will fetch the remote for me. Also the fact that I don't have to do rubbish anymore.

The worst thing about being preggers: Morning sickness. Full stop!

Definitely the worst thing is feeling so crappy 24/7!!

I guess the best things are having an excuse for feeling so tired all the time and not having to do the housework etc, spending all day Saturday watching DVD's and not feel guilty and not having to feed the cat her jellimeat cos the smell makes me gag

So far I don't have a strong feeling either way that it's a girl or a boy in there. I do know there's only one which is a relief!

Love the bag! I am on the look out for a bag as just want an oversize funky handbag instead of an actual nappy bag.

There are no bad things about pregnancy for me...I have really had minimal, manageable symptoms..Best thing is just being pregnant and all the anticipation, 1 st scan, 1st movement etc.

Have no idea what I'm having but have't rule dout the possibility of twins yet as on both sides and started really showing so eatly. Find out Tuesday.
