how long do i have to wait to get pregnant again after a c-section.????
DS is 7months and i have missed a period. everyone says something different from 6months to 2years. the doctors didnt say anything and i forgot to ask my midwife before she discharged me |

I was told 6 to 18 months before they discharged me from the hospital. I've heard of people falling pregnant in less time than that (3 months or less even) and been fine, though I'm sure whatever your midwife is comfortable with and whether or not you are planning to have a section again are factors.

I found out I was pregnant 7 months after I had DS, I had a CS but even though getting UTD again so soon was planned, it really didn't cross my mind. My MW or anyone else never said to wait any length of time so I just didn't think about it. I was waiting for a bit of a stern talking to from my new MW or the OB but it never happened
GL for your test!! ETA - I had a VBAC and had a fabulous birth experience compared to my first which was absolutely awful. Edited by MrsEmma |

I asked my midwife after i had my c/s and she said to wait 6mths, we waited 5mths. I had a VBAC 13mths after my c/s.
