Choose complementary colours
Make those brilliant apple reds glow against a backdrop using these garden-fresh shades. From the top these shades are Resene Anise, Resene Midwinter Mist and Resene Shocking. A clean, bright cream or white on the walls will also bring out those eye-popping shades of scarlet and rose. Less is more when it comes to splashes of red, but to continue a theme, try replicating the apple shape with round cushions or mobiles hung with calico-covered balls or white cardboard apple cut-outs.
