Breathing Techniques
It is well known that breathing techniques (similar to those
used in yoga) can help you relax and focus your mind on something
other than pain. You will probably find that deep, meditative
breathing comes naturally to you in response to contractions, but
you may also learn specific techniques for breathing during labour
and birth at your antenatal classes.
