So sorry for your loss a.girl. It hurts so much in everyway. I'm just reaching the end of my 3rd miscarriage although the second was a chemical so they don't count that....still counts to me though. I'm waiting to hear the results of the genetic testing and hoping that I caught the right thing and my specialist has recommended that I have testing for antiphospholipid. It's just a blood test I think...has anyone else had this done? Also, has anyone had the genetic testing on 'tissue'? I was wondering how long it look for the results to come back. I was 8 weeks but baby was 4 days behind my dates then heart had stopped beating on follow up scan. First day back at work yesterday resulted in me breaking down every time I saw a very pregnant colleague and I was sent home mid shift. Huge hugs a.girl x

I've had those tests done phoofy. Anti phospholipid is a blood test. I also had the tissue tested. Took ages to come back, like 4-6weeks I think from memory. Mine was all normal.

Oh a.girl I am so so sorry! I hadn't even realised you were UTD again but this just seems so so cruel. Hope it happens quickly this time for you and your doc pushes for testing asap.
Thinking of you xx

Phoofy I think you deserve a hug too Sure is hard seeing pregnant people especially with what you've been through. I've only had one miscarriage (&may it be the last!!!) and I'm finding it hard enough. I have such a desire to be pregnant and a new baby it's almost driving me insane! I'm sure they do testing for the third miscarriage don't they to check chromosomal defects etc. a lovely lady in my 'was' due in group also had a missed miscarriage. She said she had her previous ones tested as she'd had several miscarriages and had trisomy16. So just unfortunate genetic defects I think? Sorry don't know too much about it all. I just hope a.girl is ok, must be so hard, the poor thing. Hope the doc has some certain answers for you so you can be confident with the next pregnancy. Thinking of you xxxx

Oh, phoofy, that's so hard. I had a few moments of wanting to punch every preg woman I saw. So not like me!!!! I think I had that blood test done in the states, along with many others. I haven't had any products tested though.
I'm ok. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I had the scan yesterday and told the lady she couldn't shock us as we knew it was baf news. But she did... she said there was a perfectly size bub with a heartbeat of 110 in there!!! Wtf?!?! How can my hcg doubling time be 335 hours but there be something still ticking away. Doc said from the lack of hcg rise it wasn't viable :-( so I have no idea what is going on? Part of me is hoping that the lab forgot to put a 1 in front of the 8500. The scan lady thought the bleed was just implantation and could see where it came from. Ahhhhh. I know I should be over the moon, but if this is still an ill fated preg, then tjis is just doubly unfair!

Omg!!,! This is amazing news!! Do you think maybe they completely stuffed up with the bloods and gave you someone else's results? I'd be asking for more bloods if I was you. X

I doubt it was someone else's result but maybe it was read incorrectly. I'll ask for more bloods when I talk to the doc today.

Thanks for the positive vibes. I spoke to the nurses again today (who are of course relaying info from the docs), and they said my progesterone had dropped from 188 at 4 weeks to 100 at 5 weeks to 50 at 6 weeks. That's not good!!! When it dropped between week 4 and 5 my hcg was rising properly though. However, the rise between week 5 and 6 wasn't good but... they aren't giving up. They prescribed some progesterone pessaries to take 3 times a day. Who knows?!?!?! I just really hope we're not prolonging the inevitable. I would LOVE this to be a progesterone thing that is easily fixed with these pessaries, but I'm not holding my breath. I booked a scan for next Wednesday. I wish I could just knock myself out until then!!! This is the very time when all my others failed, so maybe there is something funny going on with my hormones. And I thought the tww was hard. Shesh. This is torture!

Aww a.girl - must be stressful. I hope that discovering that your progesterone has dropped is the cure…. maybe I will have to keep that in mind when I manage to get a BFP. I don't think I've had mine checked at any point….. I will continue sending you my positive vibes. Now I'm super tired so off to bed!!!

A.girl, this news is amazing!!! :) It must be stressful, but hang in there and try be positive! I have mentioned on these forums before a story about my friend, and I will tell it again... My friend was told her first pregnancy was not viable as her HCG actually dropped around week 6, she was told to prepare to miscarry, but she never did, and that pregnancy resulted in a now bubbly and beautiful 4yr old girl who is full of personality and about to start school :) A heart beat is amazing, and once a heart beat is detected, many doctors will say HCG shouldn't be looked at anymore. Because although HCG levels can be a good guide, they are at times misleading! This is one of those times x So happy right now xx
