Phil & Ted's Emotion Carrier
The Phil & Ted’s Emotion carrier lets you cradle baby close to your heart from newborn to 15kg. The vest-style fitting allows you to establish a secure fit to your body before placing baby in the carrier. Nestle baby in, then secure them safely with a clever one-hand clip system that finds its connection point without you even having to look. The carrier supports and cradles newborns facing inwards, then allows you to turn them to face the world when they're ready. An adjustable crotch strap lengthens easily as they grow. The Emotion carrier also comes with two removable dribble bibs to keep you and baby clean. Additional dribble bibs are available separately in packs of two.
We put the Emotion carrier to the test with a new mum, and here's what she thought:
"My son was 10 weeks old by the time I strapped on the Phil & Ted's Emotion carrier. It is seriously comfortable, sturdy and looks great.
Having read the instructions I had to lay out the carrier and go back and forth a couple of times before I understood how to use it but it
soon became obvious.
There is no fussing and struggling to get him secure. Lift him straight in, attach the magnetic clip and you already feel he's safely secured.
Then another two fastenings, one a pop rivet that is easy to fasten by touch. He loads easily and once you get the strap lengths just right
it's a breeze. Unloading is very simple which is great when I put him straight into the bassinet asleep!
Wide elastic load bearing strap around the waist, comfortable shoulder straps, a seat adjustment strap under the baby's bum is great to get the
height just right. It fits the larger body build too.
My concern for pinch points around legs and arms were unfounded. It's easy to hold his hands or feet as you walk along giving you both a
sense of security. The head support is very soft and supportive. I tend to have at least one hand on his head whilst walking but I'm sure he'd be just as safe
and comfortable left alone.
Went to the coast last weekend and after our walk I was able to feed him a bottle by just releasing the magnetic clip and leaning him back
slightly when we sat down. A little walk after the feed and the motion had him winded in no time.
So glad we have The Emotion!"
