Baking with kids doesn't get any easy... here's how:
In my book, it is hard to find anything more satisfying and homely than pulling a freshly baked, batch of warm, gooey cookies straight out of the oven.
In reality this can be a challenge at times, with little fingers so eager to help, it inevitably aways results in spilt flour and sugar all over the bench. Then you have to make sure you have the right ingredients for your chosen recipe, not to mention the aftermarth of all the dishes!
That is where the clever cookies at Loaf NZ come in. They have developed these genius chilled-cookie dough tubs in three firm Kiwi favourites; Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough, Afghan Cookie Dough and Chocolate Anzac Dough.
The cookie dough makes it so easy for the kids to be involved, just grab a spoon, scoop out the dough, place on the tray and pop in the oven for for a mere 15 minutes. Before you know it you have some moorish little cookies at your fingertips.
The best bit about the dough is that you can control the size of the cookie, from super sized to bite size, make them your way. This is a really great activity to do with the kids, as there is no mess and a great idea to keep some on hand in the fridge when you have a play date planned.
The range can be found in the fridge aisle at New World, Moore Wilson and Nosh in the North Island, RRP $7.00.
