Playtime ideas for your 24-36 month old
Your baby is now a toddler, and his play may become a lot more imaginative and creative. He’ll enjoy doing a lot of pretending in his play – pretending to feed teddy or pretending to go shopping. Set him up next to you while you prepare food or fold washing and get him his own broom so he can help sweep up. Things may take a little longer, but the time you spend in useful play with your little one will be worth it. Save the chores you don’t want ‘help’ with for nap time.
Fisher Price™ Little People Lil Movers Aeroplane gives wings to your toddler’s newfound love of pretend play and provides him with objects and characters to fuel his imagination.
The toddler years are all about learning emotion regulation as well as those other things like toilet training, language, dressing, etc. continue to give your toddler plenty of time for unstructured play. Give them a chance to play with other children too. They will still believe they are the centre of the universe and that everything belong s to them, so be prepared to supervise and support. Sharing and turn taking are skills they will eventually learn to master.
