I'm looking forward to it. I was brought up with sport and so I love it. I'm a bit like that, however i've just recieved Aaron Mauger, Leon McDonald and Dan Carter at work - (their growth charts not them) and sigh!! They are very lovely. -- i'm getting converted. I love a great competition and the world cup is pretty exciting. We'll both be watching the all blacks and any cliffhanger games in the lounge wrapped up in duvets - very keen rugby watcher is DH. Me, well, i just like yelling at the tv - 'don't kick it, pass it, don't pass it, kick it, get to the wickets (lol) you moron ...' - drives DH wild.

last world cup xanthe had just arrived, and i never got as much help at nighttime as i did then - aah memories! as long as what i wanted was either before the game, or at half time of course!

we are fanatic sports news watchers in this house too. poor xanthe has to keep quiet while the normal news is on, and then has to doubly be quiet for the sports news - but by then she is just fizzing from sitting still, and it normally ends with poor dh staying up to watch sports tonight on at 11

he has a countdown timer thingy set up on the PC for the world cup countdown!!!! and all his little MSN friends keep popping up when i am online and asking rugby questions. It will be watched in our house, hubbie loves rugby and we both love league. (world stops in our house too when the sports news is on).

As long as it doesn't interfer with any league I'm happy for him to get up and watch it.

We are both a bit worried as baby is due on Semi Night - we both know he wont come on his due date, but are worried that the little rascal will arrive on finals night!

We are a rugby mad household, DH will certainly be getting up for most of the games (the important ones) and I expect the TV in the bedroom will be going each night......it doesnt worry be too much, I listen out of one ear and kind of sleep if the games are boring!

Cant wait - its so exciting!

My DH absolutely hates rugby with a passion so there won't be any "egg chasing" as he calls it, on the tv at our house! Interesting cause he's built like a rugby player and often gets, man you must play rugby, look at the size of you comments !!

World Cup football or English Premier League......well that's another story, he sits up all night for nights on end watching soccer.....but then I love soccer too so doesn't bother me so much!

I'll be alright here Jesse's are muso not that into sports so we will just watch little bits here and there but were really not that fussed.

Lyla - The world seems to stop just for the sports news in our household, so the WC is going to be even worse, DH seems to think - since he can't play anymore (cause of shoulder) he is morally obligated to watch MORE rugby than ever. noone is allowed near the tv day or night as he is recording the games (so dont you DARE mess it up!) or is watching the games (so BE QUIET! and keep the kids quiet too! )

i shouldnt complain, he is a very mild mannered beast for 3 years out of 4, its just the world cup years are all consuming for him.
