I dont think it will be Alice, I think they might try to kill her off - but surely after the Craig / Huia thing they wouldnt kill off another of his 'loves'. I think it might be Shanti, or Brenda even....but then who knows!!

I wish my pregnancy was going as quickly as Maia's is....7 mths already - wow, oh to live in TV land!!

Well I still think it's Steve, but I did notice the comment that Chris made to the cop about the person having "army" training to do that certain procedure. I also think that the cop & Chris will get it on... and that Alice will be the next victim but she'll escape and be the only survivor.....if it's not her, can it be Sarah

7 months? Damn, I wish I was the small when I was 7 months! Didn't she only just have the NT scan and find out the baby might have downs a couple of weeks ago, around the time Claire died?

I thought they said last night that Maia was 7 months. Just before Tania went in to get the termination, she said to maia it would be a good idea if she came in because she was 7 months! I remember i was surprised for her to be that far along.

I could be all wrong though....preggy brain could be making things up

I think she's about 4 months. Toni and Chris' last baby was stillborn, and baby Ngakau died, it would be a bit rough if Maia lost her baby too. Then again, it IS shortland st!

I'm liking Kelly's plot about the killer killing off everyone, I can't think of a single one I like, then Dr Ropata could come back from Guatemala with Carrie Burton and Marg Neilson to run the place.

And Simsam, the Jeffries sisters bug me hugely too, not only coz they can't act (altho Faye Smythe has been pretty impressive in this past couple of weeks with the arguing scenes with Mark) but coz of the color thing.

re the jeffries girls , i agree, and not only are they different colours they are all so unsimilar, i mean i know they wouldnt have been able to get actresses that were identical (unless they were twins...emma? any chance of the gremlins making an appearance on ss one day?) but one has really soft features (tania) one has pointy features (libby) and maia just has maia features.

I hate the fact that the Jeffries sisters are all "different colours"...it really really bugs me. Especially given that their parents are / were both so white!!! I think its just slack casting given the pool of talent in NZ, and if they were dead set on using those actresses then they should have been more imaganitive with the storyline around the family, ie adoption.

Funny you typed this, after I logged off before I started thinking about the female characters and Brenda kept popping into my head.
1)she has/had a grudge against the hospital and Drs in particular
2)she stuffed up with her own son so could be trying to make things better for Yvonne's girls (her only true friend on show)
3)she is back on the drink and falling apart a bit
4)she is pointing blame everywhere - remember how convinced she was it was Keiran then started going on about Mark being guilty?

I reckon it could be the alcoholic nurse, Brenda she seemed pretty unstable when she first started on the show but the writers have done a good job in making us forget that by making her blend in so well. If you remember she started at Shorty wanting to get "revenge" on the staff there for "killing" her relative (forgotten what relly...maybe her dad??). I think she is rather unhinged underneath it all.

But if not her, then maybe Joey or Scotty...

Sad about Jay though...why kill off the nice characters and leave some of the annoying ones behind!?!

Maybe Joey is Yvonne's real son? I noticed him watching very closely when Kip was intubating (?) that patient last night. Also maybe he crashed Kieran's bike on purpose to keep him hanging around?
Wonder what the clue will be tonight? If they'll tell us what it is so we might be able to discuss later

ETA Joey can't be the real son he's too young doh.
Who else has 'hurt' the Jeffries girls?
Oh and not a very nice comment Scotty made - perhaps it will be him after all!
Thinking of people - Kieran, Mark and Joey have all had interaction on screen with victims but did Steve/Scotty interact with Jay?
Anyone think of any other commanalities between victims other than gender and Jeffries sisters?

i have decided i watch far to much shorty street and have got too involved in this case! lol... at night when i cant sleep i think about the murders, the suspects, the motive etc.. SHAME! i think about it heaps at night ( i guess its all fresh in my head?!) and im trying to play dectective. haha, last night i even got freaked out in bed! (yeah im sad i dont do scarey movies or TV!) even though its not scary the thought of a serial killer... yuck!
anyways, im still stuck on joey, he seems weird, but nice so i hope it isnt him! he is a cute character! again shame rach!
i was watching tonight so closely for any signs (knowing it was jay) she did talk a bit to joey he seemed nice to her... argh! lol, man i crack me up.

theres a few more (dont know who yet tho) some will be long term characters

on the site i go on they interviewed Jason Daniels, the producer, the killer will be revealed before the end of the year , but only him and 4 script writers know who the killer is, the cast doesnt even know and several think its there character, and all up there will be TEN characters which will become suspects, and once the killer is revealed the story line gets better apparently...oh and theyve filmed 3 different endings
