It got mucked up because he went on acc so we were entitled to some money from winz so I was getting it paid from IRD and he was getting it paid from winz if that makes sense.

I got over paid child support one year - but I had rung up when they deposited the money asking if they had made a mistake - asked 3 times - nope all yours. Then comes a bill a month later telling me i had to pay it back.. there was no way I could afford it and infact why should I try to when it was their mistake so i rang them and explained i had rung - they had record I had rung and so i filled in a form (they sent me it cant remmeber what it was called now) stating why I think i shouldn't pay it back and they wrote it off for me. Worth a try if you have a strong case.

I had to pay tax back cos one of my emplyers didnt tax me right! I didnt see why I had to pay it!

We just got a letter from IRD saying Ben owes $3400 for working for families so I rung them up today thinking there must be some mistake. But no, somehow they mucked up and had been paying both Ben and me our working for families we have been nothing but completely honest and they admitted it was their mistake but we still have to pay it back

So now we are getting $80 a week less than we expected and have to somehow pay back all that money to IRD. I'm just so mad because there was no way for us to figure out that we weren't suppose to be getting all that extra money.
