it did go more red but by then the clouds kept coming over (after all we are in taranaki ) and Josh had put the telescope away.

Thanks for the the piccies! We weren't expecting to see it in Hamilton (always clouds over or rains at any crucial viewing) but for once we saw the 'bloody' moon. Very cool Ann. We couldnt see it that red, We saw it start to cover and watched untill it was fully covered but from where we were it looked black. Thanks for the shots

We took these photos from our telescope by putting the camera over the view lense - it took some skill from my 14 year old I think he did well!
