LOL, Rach!  Lists ROCK, Anna - I'm a big fan of them.  My MIL has looked after Ella on a few occasions in the evening, and I gave her a list each time - she's a very competent carer, but is completely new to food allergy issues and bottle feeding, and she seemed to appreciate the 'instructions' (or if she didn't, she was pretty polite about them!).  I agree with you - even if your MIL does get a bit offended, you need the peace of mind and she needs the instructions.

Well esp as the child starts to talk, but even more so when they are 3, and can say if they are hot/cold/thirsty/hungry.. and even better when they take themselves off to the toilet and can wash their hands and flush the toilet! i wrote up a basic timeline of xanthes routine for my parents and for the inlaws, so they could see what she should roughly be doing at any time. it helped them alot.

I would much rather her go to home based child care or a daycare than have my MIL look after her, but DH wont have any of it. He'd rather me give up work than put her into a 'strangers' care...

I am now going to write everything down for her (time of bottles and lunch etc) each time she has Brenna. She'll probably get really offended, but at least I'll have peace of mind that she's getting her milk/food. She loves Brenna, but just sometimes has NO IDEA and it drives me nuts that I can't say anything to her about it.

I'm feeling much better now. Had a couple of hours to calm down and it was good to vent on here

poor little girl, how could a caregiver 'forget' to give a baby a bottle? I'm so p*ssed off! I've had problems with my MIL in the past regarding how she looks after Brenna (she has her once a fortnight for one day when I work)

Anyway... I worked until 12.30 today and came home and Brenna had not had a bottle at all! She said she 'forgot' when she was supposed to have one so just didn't do it

My poor girl!!! She cried when she saw me when I got home

I hate leaving her with my MIL as she has no respect for how I want Brenna to be looked after. I don't mind things being done differently, but not at all is just wrong!
