    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=10273">Two Blondinis</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10396<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 02 September 2007 at 9:57am<br /><br />we pay for everything on the credit card and then pay that all off at the end of the month anyways so it wouldn't be anything new to us, and the rates they are offering us work out the same as BNZ too, but BNZ haven't offered to help us with paying off our total loan 5 years earlier and weren't very forthcoming with other options to help us save money (which I'm not at all surprised about! lol).<br /><br />So I guess it's just the same as any loan and you just have to be strict with yourself with your budget.  That's what I liked the most about NZ Home Loans, they help you with your budget to make sure you can afford repayments without living on mince and sausages  lol<br /><br />]]>

But that applies to a lot of companies, not just NZ Home Loans. I've heard good things about them. I preferred to go through a mortgage broker though as we ended up getting a better deal and I didn't want DH to get tempted into revolving credit and paying for everything with a credit card.]]>

It seems to work well for us - the revolving credit accounts are great, and it has meant that we have been able to pay off more of our loan over the last few years, but now have some leeway with bubs on the way and me not working...<br /><br />But we don't do everything that they want us to - so in theory would save even more if we did - paying everything with credit card etc]]>
