Hi Everyone, I have been on OB for a couple of months now but only just found this thread

My name is Sterryn (31) and my DH is Ray (33). I have just finished work 2 weeks ago and am now on maternity leave for hopefully 12 months - YAY!
We live in Whangaparaoa just North of Auckland. DH is a Stores Manager, and I was an underwriter for Vero Insurance although am getting used to being a SAHM very quickly

We are patiently waiting for the birth of our first baby (Samantha) who is due in 17 days and counting.
Took us 6 years of trying to get this little munchkin with 2 miscarriages and being told we would never have our own children. We are very pleased to have proven them wrong

I'm Claudia (another ex NZWP-er) and DH is Adrian. This is our first bub - due October (he has a 15 1/5 year old from a previous relationship)so I will be visiting often to read up on whats happening with me and this little one. Hey everyone.
Great post can't believe I just found it!

Im Karen (18 years old) and my Fiancee is Bryan (20)Planning to get married once I've lost the baby fat (could be waiting a while) and have stopped breast feeding. I'm in my second year of my nursing degree and Bryan is a farmer. We currently live in Whakatane but as of June we will be in Putaruru (Waikato area).
Baby is due 8/9/07 and we are finding out what it is in 3 days!!

Hi Everyone 

Been on here for a wee while now.  I am 28, married to Nigel, who is a sales consultant for a cousin of Telecom.  I am currently a SAHM also doing casual work for my previous employer as they did not want me to leave!!! (Gee lucky me), which I am doing from home.  We live in Christchurch.

Our son, Harlan, was born on 6th December 06.  My husband has twin boys, who are 8 years old, whom I have been with since they were 7 months old.

Just want to say what a great site OB is!!!

I've been on here a few weeks, but haven't introduced myself. I also heard about this site on NZWP (where my username is Epponee - felt like a name change!)

I'm 33 and have are coming up to one year married. I'm an occupational therapist and DH is a teacher. This is our first baby and it's due in October. I'm forward to getting to know people better on this site and to picking up lots of helpful tips along the way!

Oh, I should post here too. I've been a lurker for a few months since finding out Bombshell was pg (who I also know from NZWP). I am Kate, am planning my wedding to my wonderful DF for January 2008. We're not actively trying, but I have been having some problems with the girly bits so trying to suss them out and see what happens. I'm currently a full-time student (law school) at Waikato Uni and work part-time in a law firm as well. DF works on a dairy farm. I love OB, almost as much as NZWP!! Hello, I've been lurking here for a few weeks too, thanks to the other helpful ladies on NZWP. I can best describe myself as in the pre-planning stages. DF and I will be married March 08, and will then stop the BCP and see what comes.
I am a planner, and like to be pre-pared. Planning a wedding for 1 day is daunting enough. Motherhood seems a whole lot scarier.
I have been checked out by the doc though, and girly insides are healthy.

Hello, I've been a lurker for a nearly a couple of months. I got married at the end of Dec last year (yes, ex NZWP too) and have kind of decided to think about TTC now. DH has been talking about babies for ages! We have agreed to stop contraception and see what happens. I'm really nervous and know nothing about babies! I'm a primary school teacher and he is a grassing contractor. We live in West Auckland. Anyways. I am 30. My husband is Shaun. Been married 6 years. He is an Assistant Sales Manager so he travels a bit. We are hoping to become pregnant again anyday soon (fingers crossed ) We live in West Auckland. Have one furbaby, Reece, named because he is recycled (SPCA boy). I am a SAHM, loving it, have been at home nearly the whole 4 yrs. Did go back to work for a bit, but with hub travelling, didn't work out.

Just found this site today so am still trying to find my way around.

My Name is MJ and I become a mum for the first time 3 weeks ago. Before becoming a SAHM - I worked as a kindergarten teacher and look forward to returning to it sometime in the near future.   I gave birth to a 8lb 14.5 ounce girl who we named Lara Kate after a 14 hour labour. My name is Sam, I am 30, and DH (38) and I are expecting our first baby - YAY!! We are very excited! We have been married 5 years, but only TTC for the last 6 months as we were living in London for a few years and decided that we didnt want to have babies over there, so waited until we got home.   We live in central Auckland, and luckily at the moment we both work from home. We have 2 fur-babies who we adore and have been our 'babies' for the last 10 years, they are the 'masters' of the house, so it will be interesting to see how they react to the new one in 8 months time!

OB is such an amazing site, and you have all already given me great advise and support! Thanks - I cant wait to share the next 8 months with you all!

I am a Nana who looks at this site because of my daughter kelly who told me about the site.(Caitlynsmygirl)
But i am also a Mum of an about to turn 21year old special needs daughter and co-ordinator of the East and South Auckland Special Needs Support Group for parents/caregivers of special needs children with any special needs.

hey everyone, well I'm not exactly new here, but thought I'd better reintroduce myself again and get back into this site.

I'm married to Vince, we live in Auckland with our four kids except Jessica (15yrs) lives with her mum in Chch and we have her only in the school hols.  We have Daniel (12yrs) he has Cerebral Palsy, Jack who is our first son (2 1/2yrs) and I recently had Maren (7weeks) on 20 Dec 06.  All my kids were c/sections.

Yeah jacobsmama - teenagers are great - well at least my son is so far. hes handled thefirst couple of days of highs school brilliantly and even made new friends. How old is your teenager? and myamy my hubby is in the IT hes a senior (get told off it I don't out senior sinces hes worked himself up) network admin. Hi Lucy! My brother has mild cerebral palsy, in his case it's a birth injury from being born too quickly. Hi I'm Toni, and I work 4 days a week as a training and planning admin for Maritime NZ (sounds more interesting than it actually is lol), I'm also an agent for Fuzzi Bunz nappies (keeps me out of trouble and in Pumpkin Patch LOL) and also work 24/7 as Mum (my most important job!). We live in New Lynn, West Auckland (but I'm originally from London). I'm 29 (30 in July EEEEK) and I have been married to Brent (36) for 3 years next month. he and his brother own their own car mechanics business. Caitlin is our first baby, born 18th July via Emerg CS (9lb 7.5oz - long story short "she got stuck").

This site is fantastic! You will meet so many people that are travelling along the same path as yourself, all learning how to work that noisey little wrinkley thing you brought home from the hospital
I've made some truely wonderful friends on here (you know who you are )

Hello,
I found this site after I read about it on betterliving.
My name is Mel and I'm married to Craig. I'm an administrator for a Trade Services Company and Craig is an Account Manager We have two children Conor(11) weighed in at 9lb 9oz's (from a previous thing) & Nyah (4) weighed in at 9lb 6oz's.   We found out in the new year that we are expecting our third child in September, I'm hoping not as big as the other two...All good so far I've only had two full days of feeling like I'm sea sick.
I think I'll lurk in the background for awhile until I learn how to drive this site I'll also have to work out how to post photos and put one of those lilypad thingamees on

Hi im Amy (22) and my partner is Karl (30)and live in Gisborne with our gorgeous 5month old daughter Mya. Karl is in the IT business and im a full time mum and also a care giver for intellectually disabled. Since having Mya i now only care for one young lady who loves Mya so i am able to take Mya to work with me.

Okay so I see this is actually where I was suppose to introduce myself. Oops.

Well my name is Shirena. I am a SAHM mom to a gorgeous 13 month old girl called McKayla.

I am still studying as well. (or trying to finish it anyway). We have recently moved from South Africa and finding the country quite pleasant.

I had a few mc's before so my daughter is literally a miracle child to me as we almost lost her in the beginning as well and they think I might have lost a twin with her.
