My sister had really bad car sickness and she had to sit on newspaper when we travelled long distance and she was never sick when sitting on it.

Those sea sickness bracelets seem to work on Ella! She has only been sick one time wearing them and that was on a very windy road. the mini gingernuts you get in the packet at the supermarket. when we lived in gissy, we had to travel over the whareratas - guaranteed to make anyone sick. anyway, when we gave the kids gingernuts - no vomitting. maybe just luck, but hey, worth a go.

We had lots of changes of clothing organised as well, and heaps of stops - although I'm sure you do thaht anyway.

Could try get him to nibble on some ginger biscuits. You can get finger ones in the supermarket.

A friend of mine told me that peppermint and lavender oils work, you just put a few drops of each on a hanky and give it to him to smell every so often natural thearpy shops can probably help.
Other than that just heaps of fresh air and lots of stops.
Also just give him bland food before the trip with an hour to settle before you go.

Might be worth going to the health food shop and asking them, I have taken natural ginger tablets before and they worked wonders! (I get really bad sea-sickness and we went out to the Great Barrier Reef in quite rough seas - and I was fine taking these tablets!)

The other thing to try is accupressure bands - we used these for my brother when he was a little boy (he puked EVERY time we went anywhere in a car!!) http://www.ipharmacy.co.nz/The_Sea_Band__P752C3480.cfm are the ones that we used to use - am not sure how you could make them small enough for Benjy, but might be worth asking around a few chemists to see if they make childrens sized ones. They always worked wonders for my brother. Good Luck!

We're off to the snow for the weekend and I'm trying to find something that will help Benjy on the journey.
Last weekend he was sick 3 times on the way up north, poor guy! (and soooo gross to clean up!)
The pharmacy doesn't have anything suitable for his age, does anyone know of any remedies other than starving him before the trip?
Is there anything else that will settle his tummy and prevent vomiting?
