Number one on my girls list was Eabha... It's Gaelic and pronounced like Ava... But DF completely refused because of the reasons stated above (being pronounced wrong etc)

It was a brand of sunglasses. I'm not sure if they still sell them but I'm pretty sure it was spelt like that and I was told that it was pronounced "aah-nay". Anne- ay sounds lovely! Isla is a name whcih people often pronounce wrong cos it doesnt sound as it spells, so I would be careful using a name people get constantly wrong! Although I knew people would get Isla wrong, we still used it! Isla is said eye-la (as in Island), but people say Is -la or Eyes- la,...grrrr!
