she looks great emma!   charli lost alot of weight after her tummy bug too but it's almost back on again. she's such a gorgeous gremlin....i want to cuddle her too!

Emma although they are twins they are still a bit different. Other thing is they are a lot more active now. Not that the tummy bug helped a lot. But some kids actually do lost weight around a years time when they start walking or getting ready to walk and will take up to a few months to actually pick up weight. I know everyone was worried about McKayla picking up weight a few months ago and being so tiny. She didnt drop any weight but she just stayed the same for about 6 months.

I think she still looks fine but you are in a better position to say with eating. Just remember they do tend to eat a lot less at a year too. (not that that is helping our worries at all knowing that right?)

actually Em the photo of both of them in the bath in the other thread shows a big difference between them but maybe one is having a growth spurt etc before the other? My goodness... stick some red hair on her in that second pic and I'd swear she was my Ella!  So if that gives you an honest opinion... Yeah, she does look slender.  But she also looks healthy (energetic, bright-eyed, happy, great skin - generally a bright little spark).  The tummy-bug will have slimmed her a bit.  Truth of it is, I never think a skinny baby looks skinny until I see them next to a chubbier one.  Her diet is AWESOME and she couldn't ask for more from you - she'll be OK.

Well she isnt the chubalub she used to be but she isnt what i would call terribly thin either. Alyssa's height and weight is like that as well. I think they do a massive growth spurt and really thin down then fatten up a little bit then grow again.

Also with having their tummy bug, like you said that cant of helped in the weight department.

She looks fine to me, reminds me of Erin a little - very slim. E is also still on the tightest snaps of some of her nappies too, although just starting to move out a little on others. She looks the same as my youngest DS... I wouldnt worry. DS has slimmed down in his legs alot and still is on the same setting on his FB's as well! They are at the age where their legs get a bit skinny.

Thanks for the reassurance I guess after having Maya the supereater that never grew and all her feeding issues, then having the gremlins who packed it on and were huge to start with I thought I would end up worrying about them being too BIG not too skinny! And you're right Nikki, there is nothing I CAN do, I can't make them eat more/take more formula, maybe they are just destined to be skinny. Which given the fact that neither Willie nor I are in any way small is a blessing really!
It was just that I never really noticed how skinny she was till I saw her standing there today. And she is still on the tightest Fuzzi snaps the same as she has been since she was 8 weeks old. I can see that she's a bit on the scrawny side but as everyone else has said, that could be due to tummy bug and growth spurt.

I mean, what can ya do if she is skinny? She's already on formula right? i have a skinny minny just like that, with little birds arms and legs - she looks odd when nudie.

i can tell when my girls have been sick as they lose a little bit of covering and their bony bits show more - xanthes back is gross with its knobbly bits, and jordis has a skinny no bum.

looking at mercedes with that perpective, i can see she is a little skinny, but with the explanation of a tummy bug that is fully understandable. also may be worth measuring her height, as she might have had a growth spurt, which normally means they get skinny.

At the risk of sounding like a paranoid mother, is it just me or is this kid reaaaally skinny? I know all three of my girls are on the lean side, but when I was getting the gremlins in the bath tonight I realised how much scrawnier Mercedes is than Sienna, she almost looks emaciated. So go on, tell me I'm just being paranoid, but do you honestly think this kid is scrawny? She was on the 75th for height and 25th for weight, and the dietician is back next week, but they've had a tummy bug this week and I'm sure it's knocked them back a bit.
