I got tested too for HIV - I think it's pretty much routine now. Don't fret - your GP will call you with the results if there are any problems. I know you can call the GP tho to get your results - I did - I doubt it's different in Auckland, and am sure you could do it in Welly too. Hi there! The above replies have got it right about what is tested for in antenatal bloods but not HIV or HCG. These test would only be done if specially requested and generally you cant ring up the lab to get the results - but you can ring your midwife to get them. I'm sorry, I really don't know. I don't think I was ever tested to see how high the level of HCG was - the cross appeared in the window when they did the preggy test - I think that was only measure they took.
