Wow the mumps not something you hear about everyday. Poor you having him at home for so long. Hope he does get better soon.

We have just had a big out break at the hostel I work in at Waikatop Uni, apparently there was a huge outbreak in Samoa, and some of the students brought it back from there and passed it to others in the hall. don't feel too sorry for him, he's fine. there is no pain apart from a sore throat which is fixed with panadol.

he doesn't have any probs *ahem* 'down there' they are both normal, it's all in his face....i call him 'my little chipmunk' because his cheeks are so puffed out.

everyone has said about the infertilty thing, but our GP said there was no evidence to back that up. wouldn't worry us if it did anyway, we are finished having kids......it would save $400 and an op

Yep it is terrible for men! My Dad had it in his 40's and he was terribly ill for so long and I remember him saying the worst part was what pain it created "down there".

Yeah, apparently it can cause infertility problems...

which is why we need to be careful if the kids catch it because Nat's only had it on one side (of his face). DH face swelled up the other night so we went to the dr......diagnosis is mumps!

so he's off work for 2wks and poor charli is away from daycare for a month because she isn't vaccinated yet
jack is so he's ok.

it worked out well because we have our 2yr old neice staying this week and now i have help around the house
