I have been waiting for what seems like forever for the IRD to process my IR3, they owe me about $1200 that I overpaid as income tax last year, I was planning on using that money to get the girls Xmas pressies and pay a few lingering bills.
I got a letter today confirming the refund of $1200 in income tax, but it seems they also owe me quite a bit more in underpaid family assistance! So I am getting way more than I had budgeted on!
Would have been nice to know I was entitled to more during the weeks between when I finished work and when the gremlins arrived when we were struggling to make rent, but hey, better late than never!
