Hi, what a great choice moving to the sunny BOP. I personally dont mind Gate Pa or Greerton as they are close to everything & not that bad really (tis what you make of it) I believe the rough area is Merivale (although the most affordable- ha funny that)It would really depend on your income affordability as there i a huge gap in socio/economic classes in the Bay. I quite like out Matua, Otumoetai(sp), Pillan Point areas. Not sure on the immenities out there tho.

Greerton has great Doctors, schools, daycare centres, community centres, shopping etc

Hey Betty Boop

I don't live in Tga, but have lived in the Mt (across the bridge). If you're looking at coming this way then I could probably give you some tips, but Tga I'm not too sure of really with regards to community centres or healthcare centres.

Suburbs: most are nice so is probably easier to say one to avoid that is a rough area would be Gate Pa. Welcome Bay is a nice probably affordable suburb. Schools/Daycares: well depends which suburb of course you end up in, as there are quite a few, & I'm guessing you're thinking of Primary being that you're oldest is only 4. I know the Secondary Schools in Tga are really good.

We are moving from Wellington to Tauranga and have 2 daughters 4 1/2 and 1. Any suggestions for nice, affordable suburbs and what schools and daycare centres have good reputations? Can you tell us about health care centres and community centres in Tauranga too??
