McKayla got one for christmas last year and she wasnt too sure about it. But that was just after her first birthday. It was at about 13 months that she got the action right. For a day she went with both feet at the same time and then right after that she just sorted herself out.

yeah i think it helps watching other kids using ride-ons.....jack got one for his 1st birthday, but he didn't really use it properly til he was about 2-2.5yrs. he didn't walk until 18mths though but i think watching others at daycare on them helped. he started by using both legs at once and going backwards, then we helped him by moving his legs forward and eventually he got there.

It took Ollie a little while to figure out what to do with a ride on. He sed to just sit on it and get off or push it around from behind. It wasn't until he saw another boy his age ride it that it seemed to click. When did your toddlers learn how to ride a ride-on? Ashleigh still can't figure it out.
