one of the ladies my mum works with also developed diabetes. She was fine, but watched what she ate. She also ended up being induced early as ( i think) the babies tend to be bigger - growing faster. Has anyone else had any experiences with this? I went & had my glucose tolerance test & it came back positive, so had to go & have the 2 hr one & I've apparently developed diabetes. My midwife's referring me to the diabetes clinic at Auckland Hospital, so will have to go see them to find out if it can be controlled by diet or if I need to have insulin.
