Yip I know not what you want to hear because I don't like it much either. I can handle anything with a 6 in front, and really 11 hours is pretty damn good. I must say I wish I could sleep for that long sometimes. We had a 5.45am chatty little man this morning I wonder what the morning will bring.

Hope Lottie has a sleep in for you in the morning.

I guess we are just going to have to wait and see what happens and get used to being up early. In saying that in just over a month I will be sleep deprived with a newborn again anyway!!
Hubby wants to put a lock on her door so she has to stay in her room but I don't know if I could do that!

We will just see how we go.

Thanks again everyone

I so don't do mornings before 7 if I can help it so I leave a book and her gloworm doll at the foot of her cot before I go to bed and she just plays with them when she wakes, until I can pry myself out of my nice warm bed

    Author: lottieandharry
Subject: 12886
Posted: 11 December 2007 at 6:12am

Hi there. I have a 21month old who is waking mostly between 5.20 and 5.45am. She has been in a big girls bed for nearly 2 months and for about the last 3 weeks has been waking at this time. Her room is dark so it shouldn't be because it is light so early. She used to be the 12 hour per night girl but now does around 10 and a half.
Has anyone got any strategies on how to get her to sleep longer or am I resigned to the fact that she has just become an early riser. Not a good combo with a mummy who is a night owl and as I am also 35 weeks pregnant any extra sleep I can get is a bonus at the moment. DH has been fantatstic getting up with her but he is getting pretty tired now too.
Thanks in advance
