Don't forget the tears

Yay Tara finally some answers. Hopefully you go into labour today or tonight or at least you know that Monday is the day.

I sacked the only female OB in Palmy as she had no idea how I was feeling when I was pregnant with Josh. Even thou the male OB's haven't had babies themselves their wives have and they understood pain and uncomforableness.

No I was really angry at the time that I was put in there and watched like a hawk to make sure I didn't move from my bed.

But now looking back I now realise how sick I was and I really did need to be in hospital.

I'm doing an article with Emma about pre eclampsia next year for the website. It is becoming really common.

I was put into hospital for weeks before I was finally induced.

it worked for me for Andrew, and the fact that I told my OB I didn't care what happened to my baby if I wasn't getting induced I was leaving the hospital . I was induced the next morning.

When did your collection finish??

They should get the results for you tomorrow and if there is too much protein then they should induce you soon.

I used tears to get induced, but my OB is a sucker for tears. Try them on the OB next time you see them.

Did they not give you a container to collect it in and then pour it into the bottle?? That sucks. Pee into an old marge or icecream container first (a lot easier) and then pour that into the bottle.

I would kep moving if they aren't going to induce you (thats what I did with Andrew and I finally got induced) that will make the pre eclampsia worse but better for you as you get induced. I read you have EPO take it orally a few tablets in the morning and a few at night that will help you cervix if you do get induced soon.

Get your DF to go and get you some Raspberry leaf tea, that may help things along for you.

If it helps both of my inductions where natural births without the aid of any instruments (was threatened with them with Andrew) and I spent a bit of time in the pool with Josh (could of birthed in there if we were organised).

Awww Tara that sucks big time. Hopefully with the results of the 24 hour collection you will get induced. With everything you have written here is exactly like I had with both my boys and I was put in hospital and induced a week early. I so hope your collection bvrings bad news (but good news for you) and you get induced (if you get what I mean by the bad news but good news) asap.

Yep i've had it both times. First time it was bad that I was hospitalised for 2 weeks before they could induce me. I was never put on meds for my bp just kept in hospital. Once I had Andrew everything went back to normal with in a few hours. My highest bp with Andrew was 168/108

With Josh I developed it at about 35 weeks. I was in hospital for 3 days (I discharged as I wasn't going to be induced) and left with BP meds (which I never took) I spent the next few weeks resting and this time I listened and stayed on the sofa all day long. However at 38 weeks my bp went totally out of control and my cervix was ready and I was induced 2 days later. And once again as soon as I had Josh everything went back to normal. Highest BP I had with Josh was 170/106.

It's your Uric Acid levels that they will be looking at. If they are high be prepared to go into hospital for 24 urine collection, or input vs output. You have to measure how much you drink and then how much you pee.
