It depends alot on how low the placenta is lying. In some cases a normal delivery might be attempted, but in others it would be impossible to do so safely. Obviously if it is anywhere near the cervix, as the cervix dilates there is the chance you could bleed.. if it is covering the opening - then baby has no way out and again there's huge risk for bleeding. Talk to your midwife more about what degree of it you have and what you options are... if any. Hey, I have just been diagnosed with placenta previa and just wondering if anyone here has delivered naturally after being diagnosed? I have heard nothing but horror stories from my midwife and need a bit of positive news!
