In some cases a normal delivery might be attempted, but in others it would be impossible to do so safely.  Obviously if it is anywhere near the cervix, as the cervix dilates there is the chance you could bleed.. if it is covering the opening - then baby has no way out and again there's huge risk for bleeding.  Talk to your midwife more about what degree of it you have and what you options are... if any. It can be hard to let go of the idea of having a "normal" labour for your baby... but in the end a safe bub and mum is all that counts really.  hope that helps a little.... but definately go and talk to your midwife more about it - that's what she's there for - she should be giving you info ... not just horror stories.. but maybe she's just warning you so you know the danger signs to look out for.]]>
