Paws!

james, I have spoken to him either every week or every other week since he got them, and I spoke to him last Thursday (I think it was Thurs anyway) when he sent his bill, and he said that I could pick them up this week. So, he hasn't forgotten them. He said that a sub-contractor has let him down - I have a feeling that he is the designer/sourcer of all things diamondy/precious stoney/goldy and someone else actually makes them. Not sure.

Mel - there was some redesigning, yes, as the wedding ring was made to fit around the engagement ring, and because I couldn't get the same shape/size diamond, the wedding ring then didn't fit, and because the original design wasn't that good (didn't come out as it was supposed to), we opted to change it. Still ...

Anyway - my blood pressure has come back down. Now, I just wait again. That's very frustrating I can't believe that it's taking this long! Did you redesign them or something, or has he not kept up with his customer service training!

Perhaps what he really needs is some followed by some and then you could finish off with a little and he'll be like totally ready to do your every bidding and you'll be all like and we'll be all like at him and all for you!!

To be perfectly honest, if I'd known this was going to happen, I'd have taken the settlement amount in cash and bought something. It's costing me $1300 on top of the insurance pay out anyway, so it would have been over and done with.

I've just been told by the jeweller who is dealing with my engagement and wedding rings, that they won't be ready by Christmas. It's been 3 months and I have been so patient over it all, and now I've been told that I'm looking at end January. He was paid out by my insurer in November, and I got a bill for my portion ($1300!) last week.

I am so completely and utterly sick of those damn rings.



Grrr.

I really wanted those rings back by Christmas! It was ridiculously important to me, and they're the only jewellery I have bar a necklace and a watch.
