Maya was on lumps from 5 1/2-6 months coz she started solids young, had teeth and was ready, the gremlins didn't start with the lumps till after they started finger foods around 8 months or so.]]>

And he seemed to really like it, first lot of food that contains fruit that he actually liked so yay!]]>

Just mash it with a fork and add a bit of warm water if you need to. I say get him onto food with a bit of texture as soon as he'll let you, cause then he's less likely (IMO) to get stuck on only super-pureed food at 9mos.]]>

I would test him first by giving him some home made pureed veges with just a few lumps in them and see how he goes. The jars/tins stipulate the age, & I think from 9 mths the food is more lumpy. ]]>

He really dislikes fruit but loves his veges and meat (so far beef and chicken). <br /><br />He's eating all the blue tin veges and the red tin pureed stuff. But when do you start introducing little lumps etc, like mashed rather than pureed? I have absolutely no idea on this stuff! I'm not in a hurry or anything but I'm just curious since I know nothing about it.]]>
