What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?

Had a baby girl, GOT MARRIED!


Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I don't remember, but one for this year is EAT LESS CHOCOLATE

Me (and a few others!)

Rod lost an Aunt and an Uncle, but I lost noone, thank goodness, after a big couple of losses last year

none, but travelling this year


What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?

Paitience

What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Valentines day, my little valentine was born, and 20th october, our wedding day

What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Not actually killing anyone, even though I threatened to many, many times

What was your biggest failure?

Failure to get a handle on my quick temper when I am tired and failure to pay off my CC in full the last 3 months...

Did you suffer illness or injury?

Morning Sickness, gallstones, and a wicked bad tummy bug a few weeks back

52inch LCD, new table and chairs, um, wedding stuff maybe?

Sometimes, and only sometimes, teenage stepson behaves really well..

I only saw two, and I liked both, Saw3 and Knocked up. Got Babel out on DVD and that was a great movie. A notable mention.

Looked after Rod who had a vasectomy the day before and Jacob who had an infected mouth ulcer. We were going to go out for tea, but Jake was too, too sick. 32

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

More sleep, less bad temper (sleep related..)less roller guts


How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?

If it's 3/4 length and or denim, or A an line skirt, I'm wearing it... I'm such a mother. Also known for ballet flats or mega pointy boots

What political issue stirred you the most?

Anti Smacking, Compulsory insurance for cars (I'm FOR this) and all this PC race crap.

Who did you miss?

Dad - I missed him walking me down the asile. Also a friend, Leanne, who I had a falling out with a few years back over an awful accident and missunderstanding. We had been such good friends, now we both have kids, and I would love to share those special family times with her. I saw her in the park a few months back and she screamed at her mother to grab her daughter away, she couldn't go over there as I was there and she wasn't coming near me. I felt so sad. I miss her sooo much it aches.


Who was the best new person you met?

Ana and Charlotte. That should read Charlotte and Ana, actually, also along with Joey and Peter and lately Lilian.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:

Worrying only causes lines and greys. Don't even colour water to make it look like milk with milk when your kid has a tummy bug, AND don't let them get into bed with you...

SCUBA dived a World War 2 German U-Boat

The only resolution I make every year is not to make any resolutions and that one is going well

2 baby girls

What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
2nd July, the day I did a pregnancy test. Also the day before I started my new job and 3 days after moving to Wellington.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
getting pregnant

What was your biggest failure?
can't think of any

Did you suffer illness or injury?
just morning sickness


What was the best thing you bought?
my drysuit 6 weeks before I had to hang it up again. At least it'll be easier to fit back into than a wetsuit
More recently our house also.


Whose behaviour merited celebration?
DH - for putting up with the initial 5 months of pregnant mood swings. Also for committing to becoming the breadwinner in our family, it's amazing how twins on the way can change priorities.


Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
those involved with the child abuse cases, both the ones that are in the media and more so the ones that are going on unseen.


Where did most of your money go?
dive gear, holiday home to Ireland and new house.


What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Travelling to Ireland to see my family and friends for the first time in 2 years, also diving the Uboat when there.
Finding out I was pregnant and doubly so when we saw 2 babies at the scan.

29/06/07 the day my friend passed away and 7/03/07, the day my gran died, wish I could have more "nicer" ones

no, I didnt actually, health wise was a pretty good year, i must say

Had Christmas and new Year at home with DH, never done it before as I have always worked pretty much all the holidays

I don't tend to make them, but this year I want to be more positive about stuff, I am in danger of becoming my mother at the moment

Had a son.
Had a home birth.
Went to Washington DC and New York
Lost a parent to cancer

Yep - was saving for the USA trip
This year - need to lose the baby weight

ME!

Yes, my Mum, after a short but agressive battle with cancer.

What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A balance. More time with friends and family.

8th April - Mum passed away
29th June - Caleb was born.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Delivering a healthy baby boy on the bedroom floor after a one hour labour.
Taking my daughter to visit my sister and brother-in-law in Washington DC (also visiting Disneyland etc).
Getting a new job (starting in the New Year) that is a step up from my current one and also pays significantly more.

What was your biggest failure?
I think I finished reading two books in my book club all year (out of ten).

No, pretty healthy as usual

Booking our trip to the States
Buying heaps of Baby Gap stuff for Caleb

My oldest brother. He was so good to Mum in her last few weeks and has been a pillar of strength in the family.

Not really into NY resolutions, didn't make any last year and don't have anything in mind for this year

An endo op Better health, a job for all 12 mos, build a replacement balcony onto our house (not me personally LOL)

Kryssi's birthday, Granny's passing date, Granny's birthday = day I broke my foot, my 25th

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Going back to work - first time in 4 yrs and got the job in 3 hours without an interview Also paying off the last of DH's student loan (he did that)

Breaking my toe after I got the cast of my broken foot haha

Endo for the first time

Camera! I'm excited about our stereo and freezer as well but the camera is sooo much more valuable as all mums understand! Actually we bought quite a lot of new things this year when I think about it!

Went kayaking down the gorge - will never do it again!

I am guessing you mean 2007?? LOL... Went to Uk and Usa with all my family. And Kids and Dh got to meet the rest of my family

being completely debt free - so lotto would be good for me too

same as other years - casual and comfortable with a bit of dress up thrown in

my family dh and kids

Wentworth Miller - no contest... then would have to be Johnny Depp (without the captain jack costume)

No smaking law - it still won't stop the abusers!

My family in Uk - so miss them

my fellow Nov possy kels and leish in welly - they the bomb and boy can they talk LOL.. 6am girls!!!, baalamb and missy_girl cool chicks.

To be more for the family and not for work.

Had a baby!!!

Didn't make any last year, but resolve to lose weight this year

More time and money

27/03/07 - Jack was born

Having Jack

Not enough money to stay home with Jack full time

Morning Sickness, PTSD, and back

New washing machine and TV

DH - watching his heart melt when he met Jack and just being an awesome husband and father
